9 reasons to be focused and make your dreams come true.

9 reasons to be focused and make your dreams come true.

“Follow your dreams, they know the way.”

It’s never too early to start pursuing your dreams and it's never too late to finally do what your heart inspires you to do.

At age 52 Ray Kroc finally had the courage to open his first restaurant.

After selling paper cups and milkshake machines for decades, he visited a local burger joint in San Bernardino California.?He became intrigued by the simplicity of the operation. Curiosity my friends!?

He offered to provide franchise services to expand the operation for a cut of the profits.?Epiphany and innovation my friends! ?????

The first restaurant opened in 1955 and by 1959 they had one hundred restaurants across the country.?By 1984 the company had grown to 7,500 franchises with a net worth of 8 billion dollars.?

At age 14 Fraser Doherty began making jams from his grandmothers’ recipes.?By 2007 his product was featured in over 184 high-end supermarkets across the UK with total sales exceeding 1 million.?The company continues to flourish.?Ambition and drive my friends!

At a time when the national discourse is devoted to celebrating excuses and concentrating on limitations, I encourage people to keep dreaming and never let anyone discourage your dreams.?

At the same time, we need to be realistic and intentional about the dreams we devote our attention to.???

Here are 9 reasons why it’s important to be true to your dreams:

Fulfillment

Pursuing our dreams will provide motivation to get up each day dedicated to something we love.?I would rather struggle being true to my dreams than die a miserable death trapped in an unsatisfying “job”.?Dreams keep us alive, but they need to be highly focused and demonstrably productive.

Dreamers converge

When we dare to dream and cultivate our passions, we attract other extraordinary people.??When we surround ourselves with other ambitious people opportunities emerge! Quality friends and strong connections add momentum to our dreams.

Source of inspiration

One thing I enjoy about being a successful entrepreneur is inspiring others.?The satisfaction I receive from encouraging people to dream big and be bold is priceless.?Being a mentor to people I love and watching them reach their true potential is one of the most rewarding aspects of my vocation.

Life by design

The desire to enjoy a remarkable life and share it with our family is an excellent motivator. Working toward earning a great living and creating unlimited free time in our schedule is the ideal combination for personal and professional satisfaction.?By achieving this beautiful balance, we design a life that leverages the power of options.?

“You’ll stumble upon something you can’t stop thinking about, something more important than anything else. Make it the focus of your life.”

Professional satisfaction

At Anatomy of Success, I encourage people to find professional ebullience.?It’s one of my four Tennent’s of equanimity.?When we dislike our work, we embrace a pattern of unhealthy existence. We learn to hate Monday and anxiously anticipate the weekend.?Learn to love your work and you no longer feel like work is a burden. Big dreams need to be viable, profitable, and meaningful to be truly satisfying.?

No guarantees

Success is incredibly hard;?this life offers no promises and people that achieve great success make enormous sacrifices.?The people unwilling to make those sacrifices often rely on excuses to justify why their dreams didn’t materialize.?With an ounce of ambition, relentless drive,?imagination and commitment anyone can locate opportunities that will change their life.?The problem, most people squander precious time waiting for ideal circumstances.?Accept that life offers no guarantees and take full responsibility for our future.?Dreams wait for no one, and successful dreams are carefully orchestrated.?

Profound happiness

People that stop dreaming sink into a pattern of existence that offers little hope or inspiration.?It’s a sad decline that culminates in feeling perpetually unhappy.?Happiness is a state of mind and being true to our dreams is a perfect place to start feeling more joy each day.?Forge our own path and build the road to success based on a definition of success you create.?It’s not going to be easy; it may not make you “rich”, but it beats feeling miserable. ??

Silence your critics

Many people give up on their dreams because people discourage their goals.?Critics can be especially cruel.?Why??Because their critics.?Critics are cowards that never had the courage to achieve great success, so they marinate in excuses and attack other people for having the audacity to dream big.?The best way to silence these clowns, do what they never could.?I am not advocating being driven by vindictiveness.?But it's ok to put on mussel on the skeptics.????

One life

Life is short, and it's fragile.?I encourage people to spend their time doing what they love and spend less time worried about “getting rich”. That may require scaling back on a lavish lifestyle we can’t afford and free up the time and resources required to build a dream.??Feeling regret for the things we didn’t do is the biggest regret people experience later in life.?Avoid that mistake by being true to yourself and making the sacrifices required to achieve our dreams.

“It’s difficult to follow your dream. It’s a tragedy not to.”?Ralph Marston

I love this, Steve Wohlenhaus!! Especially the sacrifice bit. I talk about that a lot in my new book Pay The Price. A few hours ago., I was at this heavenly resort in GHana, West Africa going for a whopping $2000 a night. I met the founders, and they quoted almost all the 9 things you’ve mentioned here without ever hearing of you. The sacrifice they had to make were absolutely heartbreaking. But the rewards were worth it! I concur!!
