Making people better as an effect of your presence and making sure this effect lasts during your absence.
What is leadership principles ?
Leadership principles are the set of actions or guiding beliefs that leaders can implement to move them toward success. How well an organization, company or business performs is directly related to how effectively the leader motivates and guides their employees.
Top leadership principles
Lead by example: as a leader you should demonstrate how to behave, plan and execute your tasks and collaborate with others, it is very hard to make different people from different backgrounds to believe in one idea and vision yet by showing confidence and progress you create an unbreakable alignment.
leadership is all about people: in my previous article i spoke about empowerment of employees and this is a key factor of success, Leaders should work to constantly improve relationships, their interpersonal skills and how they influence the people who surround them.

eliminate ambiguity: In any program or engagement there will be a lot of uncertainties, as a leader first thing to be done is digest and understand the vision then bring clarity to the team, customers and partners and this has to be done in a regular checkpoints are we still on track ? or we have to enhance … listening to people is the key?
Focus on change and delivery of success: a change is always hard, especially for organizations that have been running for ages in a certain way, yet leaders focuses on how to do the change, remove blockers and create success stories and never stop there; where from the success story derive potential use cases that can be converted into success.
Seek responsibility and take responsibility for your actions: as part of leading by examples as a leader take the responsibility for actions that can make a difference and never be afraid of taking consequences of those actions … fail fast learn fast.
Help to develop future leaders: you became what you are because some has mentored you to be better; give back to people by mentoring, coaching people to become better than you.
Know yourself and seek self-improvement: self-awareness is very important for a leader to know where are your strength and points of enhancement and work on developing your skills and don’t be shy to seek help.
Be technically and tactically proficient: being a leader you might not need to get deeply involved in the technicalities … yet respect is gained not given … you should continue improving your technical skills in order to be part of any problem solving, customer pitch and never loose the common language with the team.
Make sound and timely decisions: a right decision in a wrong time is a wrong decision … be always ahead foresee any blocker, improvement or threat that you need to act on it never miss it.
