9 Powerful Affirmations for 2018… and a Request

My business partner at CareerBlast.TV, Ora and I got into one of our silly brainstorming modes as we were thinking about ways to make 2018 the most positive, successful and funnest year ever (yes, funnest is a word!). The result of our brainstorming is this Dr. Seuss-esque set of nine simple yet powerful affirmations. We call it the CareerBlast Creed.

And here’s the catch: We came up with eight affirmations and want you to decide what number nine should be. We know there is a lot of brilliance in our community and we want to hear from you. So check out these eight principles to live by, then tell us your number nine in our Facebook group.

1. DO THE WORK I LOVE

Amp up the energy and shed the burnout. Like a happy vacation the workday will turn out.

2. LEARN SOMETHING NEW

It might be big, it might be small. Learn something new to keep your skills list tall.

3. TAKE A RISK

You might succeed or maybe you’ll fail. But risk-taking propels your career, like a hurricane gale.

4. BE EXTRA KIND

Be stingy with criticism and generous with praise. Respected you’ll be for all your days.

5. BE AUTHENTIC

Don’t copy, don’t mimic. Don’t be Luke, Len or Lee. Being yourself is the best you can be.

6. STAY POSITIVE

Be an upper and avoid Debbie Downer. You’ll be seen as a smiler and not as a frowner.

7. HONOR MY BODY

Sleep, move and down the right fuel. Because your body’s a temple and your most powerful tool.

8. HAVE FUN

In all that you do, make work seem like play. Through all the day, happy you’ll stay.

Now, it's your turn:

9. ______________________________________________

Affirmations are only powerful if you say them daily. So get into the habit of starting your day with some fun and fruitful reminders.

Download your copy of the CareerBlast Creed and post it somewhere you’ll see it every day.

And please don’t forget to tell us what you think number nine should be on our Facebook group page.

Be humble and appreciative of what we have and accomplished. Success in many ways leads our ego's to the dark side. Staying humble and appreciative can give up perspective and balance for the next step in our careers and/or life.

Strive to be creative - with our awareness of a situation and how we deal with it. And with craft, whatever that means to you

Stay connected to the source - the Master. He'll help to guide you here and in the ever after!
