8th month of ecopreneurship. What are those holidays that everyone is talking about?

Paid holidays.?

You miss them dearly when you don't have them anymore. Pushing forward while seeing amazing nature summer holiday pictures of others was difficult.?

I know it was my choice, blabla... still sucks ??

This month, in 1 word:?feedback.

Before we dive in.

I am building?Wildya?&?Wild Business Mates?transparently.

First, you can see if this road would be for you.

Second, so that you have a blueprint of how to start & to get to your first paying/donating supporters.

So here are my 3 challenges & victories of the 8th month of being an ecopreneur.

?? 3 Challenges:

1. Money Anxiety

I told you from the start I will always keep this monthly reflection real.?

Lately, I fear I won't get my projects off the ground in time. It is unreasonable because I still have until December next year.?

Still, I have it.?

Both projects, Wildya & Wild Business Mates , are long-term projects. To make them work, I have to provide tons of value to all of you before you, and others will trust me enough with your hard-earned money.?

What if I don't manage to make a living from this??

?? How I will try to overcome it:?

Keep delivering immense value for free. I also know that with Wildya, we are still in the shaping phase. I am confident that at the end of October, we have a product, that people will subscribe to.?

2. Product Management

Even though I always worked in tech, I never had the product manager role. However, these are precisely the skills I need to get Wildya to the next level.?

I love marketing, sales, and co., and I definitely still suck at product management.?

?? How I will try to overcome it:?

Reading everything under the sun to get me up to speed. Consume videos of the greatest. Chat with product managers. Chat with GPT.?

3. Linkedin

In April, I wanted to give up on posting daily because I didn't see the results.?

A week later, all this changed.?

I love posting here and the challenge of creating content that truly delivers value for you and others. + Meeting all you amazing people

But lately, I have reflected that I must dedicate more time and resources to building my nature ventures.

?? How I will try to overcome it:?

Mark the time slots I spend on LinkedIn work in another color to see my time investment. Reduce it in exchange for building. Make use of the library of content I gathered. (I will still post daily here.)?

?? 3 Victories:

1. Linkedin

Challenge and victory at the same time. This month was the best so far in delivering value for you.?

Second and third time that your engagement created some viral buzz.?

I am particularly happy about those 2 posts because they tackle crucial nature issues we must fix ASAP. Shifting baseline syndrome & finance gap of nature.?

You guys rock. Thanks to you, more people have been introduced to such crucial issues.?

?? What I learned:?

Don't give up. Show up daily and learn from every single post. Rather than focusing on yourself, try to deliver value for others.?

2. User Feedback

Not because it was so great.?

Some emails were quite hard to read. But it is precisely what we need right now. We want all this critical feedback because Winny Sanchita , Ross Patman , and I want to create a product that truly helps you and nature.?

We can't improve the app if we don't know about it. So, I am incredibly grateful for those who downloaded the app and provided us with their honest feedback. Please keep it coming!?(You can download our Wildya iOS app here)

?? What I learned:?

Launch quicker. Still took me too long to get the app into the hands of users. But you need to get to this step ASAP because they will take it apart, a crucial obstacle to master on your way to getting your idea off the ground.?

3. People love the idea

When I talk about what we are doing with Wildya, people get very euphoric, which is an excellent first indicator that we are on to something.?

Now, we need to deliver a product that lives up to our idea. Challenging, but that's why I am doing this.?

?? What I learned:?

Talk with plenty of people to truly understand what is happening and get as many perspectives as possible. This will allow you to see the problem through all the different glasses. Helping you to come up with a solution, hopefully.?

And that's 8 months.?

Big thank you for some inspirational conversations that I had this month. Gained fresh perspectives from each one of you.?

Stan Reimgen Dennis Büscher Danny Fandrich Gilles Toussaint Annika Frankenberger Marie Cavillon Samuel Chevallier Niklas Mauersberger Laura Kotyga Cameron Dowd Rob Cooper Mikael Hietala Magdalena Gschnitzer Landon Pollack Duncan Grossart Stuart Dainton Ramandeep N. Ieva Blazauskaite Carlos Terol Elizabeth Corse Anna Filipenoka Alessandro Mazzi Alexander Bozeman Tristan Schaaf Sasha (????????) Bespamyatnov Jane S.

In September, we will start the beta phase for Android users (didn't forget you, sorry, technical difficulties ??)+ talk with everyone who downloaded the Wildya app (if they want to).?

Let me know in the comments what your challenges were this month and how you overcame them. Through this, we can crowdsource solutions for our obstacles.?

P.S. I tend to talk about work too much and not reveal much about my personal life. So once a month, at the bottom of this reflection, I will share something, let's call it, unique about me.?

If you didn't believe me before that I have loved wildlife since I was a child, you probably do now. When I was 5, I asked my mum to dress me as a sea elephant for the carnival.

Shocking surprise, we don't have sea elephant costumes in Germany, so luckily my mum has a creative hand.??
