I attended the 8th International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) Congress with around 1,500 delegates in Vancouver, Canada from 20 - 23 July 2023.

My main learning – the longer I live the more I realise I don’t know!

Here are some photos!

Professor Illona Boniwell is regarded as one of Europe’s top researchers on Positive Psychology (PP). Her book “Positive Psychology in a Nutshell’ reviews listed below - WOW!

She has coauthored books with Professor David Cooperrider on Appreciative Inquiry (his work is profound in its ability to enable Organisations to grow. Whenever he’s in Australia and available I’ll attend his training. Its EXTRAORDINARY.

Professor Christian Van Nieuwerburg coaching psychology lecturer at UEL I met in 2019 at 6th World Congress in Melbourne he said I remember you because of your energy!

Robert Biswas-Diener the 'Indiana Jones of Positive Psychology' with John McCann
Robert Biswas-Diener

Robert Biswas-Diener is also known as the 'Indiana Jones of Positive Psychology. I first met Robert in 2019 at the 6th World Congress in Melbourne. He remembered meeting me. His latest book Positive Provocation for Executive Coaches is amazing.

Positive Psychology is a growing field and can you believe, there were 103 speakers! So many sessions.

The Congress eBook was 124 pages long. It was way bigger than 2019.

Every year the IPPA Congress gathers momentum as research shows its effectiveness in helping people be who they were meant to be.

Positive Psychology, combined with Executive Coaching is the ultimate process to help children, the elderly, executives and people with mental illness to grow.

The latest training is a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology Coaching Psychology (MAPPCP).

It is interesting to note that neuroscience and epigenetics research are also validating positive psychology research.
