Team recommendation "Shoe Dog – A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE", by Phil Knight.

This title was given out at a recent event. It was so well received we thought it should be shared. This is a compelling story behind one of the world's most iconic brands, best known by its ubiquitous "swoosh," recognized the world over. Borrowing $50 from his father, Phil Knight imported high-quality, low-cost athletic footwear from Japan, which he sold from the trunk of his car. In year one, this budding entrepreneur grossed $8,000 in sales. Largely unknown, he collaborated with his brother, early employees and a rag-tag group of misfits, took serious risk and encountered near cataclysmic setbacks to create a global brand with more than $30-billion of annual sales today. Well written and engaging, this is a must read for business enthusiasts, brand loyalists and those who enjoy biographies.
