- Last week saw a flurry of activity related to the electric grid.?Chairman Schwertner (R-Georgetown)?filed?SB 2627?as an alternate proposal to?SB 6, which has seemingly stalled-out in the House. Meanwhile, Schwertner’s?SB 7?was heard in the House State Affairs Committee on Wednesday evening. Also on Wednesday, PUC and ERCOT held a press conference where they released ERCOT’s?Seasonal Assessment of Resource Adequacy Report?(SARA Report).
- Around the Capitol, the House General Investigating Committee has recommended that?Rep. Bryan Slaton (R—Royse City)?be expelled after concluding he engaged in a sexual relationship with a subordinate.?U.S. Congressman Colin Allred (D—Dallas)?announced his campaign for U.S. Senate against incumbent?U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.
