88-Year-Old Mom Survives COVID-19 and MAKES IT BACK HOME. Celebrate Life!

Over the last 12 weeks I have written a few stories to help folks find hope during this very trying time. 

After a near death experience from COVID-19 and 6 weeks of rehab I am happy to say that Evelyn has made it home. The picture that you see is one that says so much. (Look at the JOY and HAPPINESS)

Our family is thrilled, and I want to thank the folks who made this happen.

Emory St. Josephs Hospital Atlanta GA – The folks at this hospital are the most professional people I have ever met.

The Tower – The folks who helped with the rehab were gracious and treated her with respect and dignity. On her graduation day from rehab they had a party. The played songs from Kool and the Gang and Michael Jackson. They danced and celebrated life and progress.  

Over the last 12 weeks I have learned a lot.

1)    I learned that little wins are important. 

2)    I learned that daily encouragement during very trying times is important. 

3)    I learned that prayer can be enormously powerful. (Regardless of your religion)

4)    I learned that it is OK to cry. Emotions are important. 

5)    I learned that each one of our family members would play a specific role. We all stuck together, and we all received the result we were looking for.

6)    I learned that our family has great friends and relationships. The outpouring of support was off the charts.

I write this final part of the 3-part series for all the folks who are still looking and praying for their own COVID-19 miracles. Keep pushing forward. Keep encouraging your loved ones to take it one day at a time.  Stick together. Family always comes first.  Most important do not give up hope.  Stay positive.  Anything can happen in life. Miracles in life are for everybody.
