83, LLC Client Spotlight #7
As we near the end of January, European clubs are making the finishing touches to their rosters as they gear up for the last couple months of the season. Up to this point, teams have learned a lot about their roster and may want to make a change, or players have evaluated their current situations and want to shake things up. Others may even be a free agent and are just now joining a team. It is a fun time of year, and today in the spotlight, I will highlight a few of my clients who made moves recently.
Proud of clients ???? Ned Lukacevik of the Odense Bulldogs in the ???? Metal Ligaen, ???? Dan Correale of IPK in ???? Mestis, ???? Chris Calnan of Manglerud in the ???? GET-Ligaen, and ???? Ben Murphy of Stjernen in the ???? GET-Ligaen.
Ned Lukacevik has experienced a challenging season thus far dealing with personal matters making him unable to play up until now. I was very happy to sign him to a deal in the well respected Danish Metal Ligaen. The 31-year-old is a crafty, seasoned veteran, and he is excited to show his worth and ability for a strong Odense squad currently in the top 4 of the league standings.
Dan Correale came to Finland this month from the ECHL's Kansas City Mavericks, where he has played for a year and a half. He is a skilled and smooth skating forward whose game translates well to the Olympic-sized ice and European style of play. Not many North Americans get the opportunity to play in Mestis. The North Americans who do get there end up faring well as their careers move along, as a player such as Nick Dineen has proved. Correale tallied an assist in his debut last week with IPK, so he is off to a solid start.
Chris Calnan arrived in Norway last week after playing this season on a two-way AHL/ECHL deal. He had been sidelined for the majority of the season with a concussion, but the former Boston College captain and nephew of Jeremy Roenick is healthy and raring to go. Once all of his paperwork is taken care of, Calnan will be set to show his skating and playmaking ability in attempt to help Manglerud finish the season strong.
Ben Murphy also arrived in Norway last week and is off to a strong start with 2 assists in 2 games played with Stjernen. The former Bowling Green star forward played the past year and a half in the ECHL with Tulsa, Norfolk, and Adirondack before making the move overseas. He brings a great shot and exceptional work ethic that he hopes will propel Stjernen into the playoff picture.
Keep up the great work guys! Make sure to follow 83, LLC and look out for more spotlights on clients as the season moves along!
