With our busy lives, we don't often hear about special people within our communities. One of these special individuals was given recognition in today's Denver Post newspaper. Schukhr 'Sugar' Basnow has been volunteering his time, teaching International Folk Dancing in Denver's Washington Park, for free, every summer since 1971. On an average week, you will find 100-300 folks of all dance levels, enjoying the music from countries around the world. It is a great way to put our business lives aside for a few hours, and we end up feeling that much more refreshed the next day! I have personally been dancing with these folks for 40 years. The Denver Post found this story so special, they have included both still pictures and a short video with this article. Enjoy!
