80GW Module Capacity? TW Solar Has the Answers

The construction of module production bases in Yancheng and Nantong is expected to increase TW Solar PV module capacity to 80GW by the end of 2023. If the first quarter and the number of orders received are any indications, TW Solar has already made big steps in that direction.?

Orders from central, state-owned enterprises a testament to product performance

In September 2022, TW Solar won the preliminary bid for CR Power’s 3GW module centralized procurement project, and in March 2023, it was awarded contracts with the China Energy Investment Corporation for 831.3MW modules and CR Power for 1.5GW modules (more than 2.3GW in total) – hard-won achievements for a newcomer to the fiercely competitive Chinese market.

The orders are a testament to the excellent performance of TW Solar’s modules and the quality of its service.

TW Solar is one of the few enterprises in the industry capable of providing clients with 182mm and 210mm P and N-type modules. 182mm and 210mm P-type modules can reach a maximum of 560W and 670W, respectively, and TNC technology increases the power of the N-type module by 15-20w over comparable PERCs (182mm-72 half-cell module). Other module performance advantages include high bifaciality, low attenuation, a better temperature coefficient, and enviable weak light response.

At the heart of N-type modules is TW Solar’s independently developed high-efficiency TNC technology, which is leading in the industry, garnering international attention and appearing on the cover of back-to-back issues of PIP Magazine. TW Solar has begun mass production of Tongwei TNC high-efficiency modules to provide an increasing number of clients with superior product solutions.

TW Solar’s excellent product performance and great start to 2023 confirm it has chosen the right time?to expand production capacity.

Easy access essential for overseas orders

From silicon materials to cells, TW Solar has never taken its eyes off the global market. TW Solar?ranks number one globally in high-purity crystalline silicon production volume and market share and has led global production capacity and volume for cells five years running. TW Solar is the first in the industry to surpass 100 GW of cells.

TW Solar’s solid upstream reputation has allowed it to establish stable and efficient sales channels that have combined with its unflagging promotion of the PV module to win it a steady stream of business overseas.

On December 22, 2022, TW Solar and the Australian Blue Sun Group held an online negotiation, signing a memorandum of cooperation with a preliminary plan to produce 100MW TW Solar high-efficiency half-cell modules for the Australian market in 2023, as TW Solar’s modules make substantial inroads into the Australian market.

On February 13, 2023, TW Solar and PVO International signed a cooperation agreement for the supply of 400MW high-efficiency modules in 2023. They also agreed to upgrade their relationship to pan-European strategic cooperation.

On February 25, 2023, TW Solar and Energy 3000 Solar GmbH, a well-known Austrian PV enterprise, signed a three-year framework agreement for the supply of 1GW Tongwei high-efficiency modules.

On March 1, 2023, TW Solar and Minlea GmbH of Austria signed an agreement for the supply of 100MW PV modules.

The contracts testify to TW Solar’s success overseas. The company is hopeful that this year will prove even more fruitful than those preceding.

TW Solar’s 80GW production capacity market proven

TrendForce predicts that global demand for total installed PV capacity could exceed 300 GW in 2023. TW Solar rung in the first quarter of this year by making the rounds of overseas markets. It visited the United Arab Emirates and Belgium in January, Spain in February, and Poland, the Netherlands, Japan, France, and Italy in March, all important incremental PV module markets, and a testament to TW Solar’s commitment and familiarity with markets overseas.

Initial orders for PV modules signed by TW Solar are only the tip of the iceberg. Orders have continued to increase, making the 80GW module capacity more of a reality than ever before.
