Years ago, in a Management class I learnt about the 80/20 rule. The rule essentially says that 80% results in our personal and professional lives come from 20 percent of our efforts.
Example,
- 80% of your sales come from 20% of your customers
- 80% of your organic results come from 20% of things you do
- 80% of your life depends on how you spent first 20% of your life
- 80% of your happiness in personal life depends on the 20% quality time spent with some favorite people
As good as this sounds, because of the desire to acquire more clients, get more customers online, have more people around (fear of missing out), we spread ourselves too thin. And in the end we find ourselves breaking our head for the things less important, for the people who don’t matter.
Isn’t this extremely important to know what is that 20% percent and work towards growing that 20%. Wouldn’t that lead to exponential growth?
