Does it ever feel like they are “New Year’s” resolutions, instead of “YOUR” resolutions?
It is a nice way to remain detached from them, it is more a thing everybody does - and a ready made answer for whoever asks.

Describe what it will take to get there; step by step. Write down these manageable steps and their realistic timelines. This makes the overall objective less overwhelming and allows you to focus on the next achievable steps. I recommend defining the first step? as one you can act on right now. An immediate action can help motivate you to keep going.

Acknowledge and celebrate progress. Small wins are wins nonetheless. Each manageable step is significant towards the overall success of your plan. I also recommend monitoring progress and adjusting the plan as appropriate. This reinforces motivation and confidence to keep moving forward. Tracking success lets you see just how far you have come.
Share your plans with an accountability partner, be it a coach, friend, family member etc... Even Though your objective is yours to own and commit to, having someone checking-in and cheering on your progress is a key component to success.?
Integrate your efforts to cultivate habits for the long-term. The new challenge or objective you are pushing for, if worth the effort now, can be kept as an asset going forward.
