Did you hear about this term before? Do you know what the waste mean? and why there is an 8 type of waste?
We are not going to talk about the regular waste such as biological or industrial waste etc.., we are going to talk about the process waste which affect the business and lead to huge loss in cost & efforts.
Determine the Waste:
To determine the waste. In Lean we are using Value Stream Mapping "VSM" to identify and illustrate in detail the sources of waste across the process and to drive action plans to eliminate these wastes.
- Current State.
- Ideal State.
- Future State.
- The current state refer to where you are now, while the Ideal state is where you want to be and the future state is referring to pro transitional phase during the improvement.
Type of Waste:
Based on the term TIM WOODS, each letter indicate a type of waste.
