9 Steps to finding more profits in your business

Profit, profit, profit.

Its that little word that some business owners are afraid to talk about, but isn't profit how we can keep the business going? Profit is how we can keep delivering to our clients. Profit is how we can feed our families & pay our mortgages. So isn't it time we stopped worrying about feeling "icky" about talking about profit & started to look inward at our businesses & access where the profits are. What could we be doing more of? What could we be doing less of? What are the profit making tasks.

I've put together my 8 Steps to finding more profits in your business. Some might be super simple others you might know about but have forgotten, either way take this as a reminder to look inward at the business & see where you can improve. If you enjoy this article leave me a comment below ??

STEP 1 - Use Video in your advertising.

Jumping on live video will help your prospects get to know, like & trust you, so that they ultimately buy from you. We buy from people. 57% of customers buy after seeing a demonstration video. Videos increase sales & conversion rates. Choose your platform & GO LIVE. If live seems too scary then record but make sure you are using VIDEO in your marketing in 2021.

STEP 2 - Increase your prices.

It might sound simple but I would bet you are pricing your products or services too cheap. Look for ways of adding value to increase the price. Always look for the upsell or sell in bundles. Look at existing customers - is there something you have that they haven't bought yet. Reach out to them & make them an offer. We are always looking for new customers but don't forget to go back & sell to old or existing customers.

STEP 3 - Optimise your social media profiles.

Check your LinkedIn. Does your bio talk to your perfect customer? Does your bio tell us what problem you solve & who you solve it for? Do you have links on your bio, do they work? Build up your endorsements & recommendations.

Check your other social platforms; Personal Facebook Page. Would I know you are in business? Does it say how I can do business with you? Does your Instagram show you are in business? Check these simple steps across ALL of your Social Media Channels. Remember as business owners it is our job to become social media creators not consumers.

STEP 4 - Get comfortable using social media.

Everyone has an opinion on what Social Media Channel you should be on, my answer is the one you are comfortable on. There is no point in saying "You have to be on Instagram" if you are using Facebook & are comfortable over there. Or you love LinkedIn but cannot stand Facebook, stick to LinkedIn then. Start with the channel you are more comfortable, grow that & then expand to other platforms.

STEP 5 - What problem do you solve.

We are all problem solvers. When we work on the problem we solve our messaging becomes clearer. When our messaging is clearer our perfect customers gravitate to us. Get clear on your messaging. Get clear on the problems your clients have & get clear on how you can solve them.

STEP 6 - Who is your perfect customer?

Once you have established the problem you solve now who do you solve the problem for?Use your social channels to "speak" to your perfect customer. Make sure your posts & videos are delivering value to your perfect customer. Remember there is a difference between a customer & a perfect customer, make sure you know what that is.

STEP 7 - Get to page one of Google.

Blogging on your website. Good quality content posted out on Google My Business. Both of these will help you push up the Google listing. No one ever says "Hang on while I check page 3 of Google" Get comfortable creating content. Get comfortable posting content on Google. Get yourself onto page one.

STEP 8 - Build Authority Online.

Do all of these steps to build your AUTHORITY online. Do all of these steps & you will find your business more profitable.

Remember Experts know things... Authorities are known for things. Are you an Authority in your field? Then why are you keeping it a secret!!!
