In the course of our lives, we all get messed up at times. Why is my life messed up if you've ever asked yourself this question? You should read this.
We live in a world where everything seems quite messed up. A war in Ukraine, an energy crisis, rising interest rates, roaring inflation, and the effects of Covid are among the problems we are facing.?There just seems to be so much that is wrong with the world around us.?There are so many things in your life that are influenced by your environment.
Although communities have shown solidarity during the pandemic, there seems to be a lack of concern among people again. There seems to be a disconnect between people and other people's problems. As a result, they are not caring about what is happening to them. There is a tendency for most of us to want more for less. Many of us take the easy way out, even when it harms others and the environment.
Reason number one: The first major reason why you're messed up is the Drift syndrome. If we don't understand why we're doing what we're doing or how we got into the job, we're in, a sense of drift settles in, and 85% of people are unhappy with their jobs.
When you feel like you are drifting in your life and unhappy with what you do, it seems like your life is a bit of a mess. We drift along with the tides rather than planning out things like our careers, so we end up in the places that we end up in.
We may have had a plan, but our lack of follow through and all life's knocks changed it and we drifted. To some extent and whatever you do, I know very few people who planned out every step of their lives and then were untouched by the chaos of living and went exactly where they wanted.
Reason number two: You don't have time for passion. There is no passion in what you do.?Many people are simply doing a job instead of pursuing a career.?When you wake up Monday morning feeling sick, you'll work through that anxiety that keeps you from sleeping because you don't like or hate what you do. My book, Secrets of the Source Ending Career Misery, was created because of this. We spend on average 40 hours a week at work, 2,000 hours a year at work.
?It is just a means to an end if you don't love what you do, if you aren't passionate about what you do, and you only do it to pay the bills.?Anyone who has watched Groundhog Day knows how repetitive it is, rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. It is like Groundhog Day and you don't have that sense of fulfilment in what you do.
Reason number three: You can't locate a purpose. There is a connection between this and the passion point, the perception of not having a meaningful purpose. When we lack a sense of purpose, we then void that sense of fulfilment, which is an essential component to leading a meaningful life, which in turn equals leading a successful life. There are many days when you're just not up for it, so it's hard to stay motivated.?You must remember your why, your reason for getting up at seven in the morning every morning, working seven o'clock, maybe working weekends.
Whenever you encounter a rocky situation or when you face a tough time, wish there would be one. If we don't have a deep sense of why we're doing what we're doing to the bigger picture, then a lot of things will fall down and our lives are going to feel severely messed up.
Reason number four: Lack of social support. Exactly how many of us are actually connected to solid social networks? More often than not, how we're organized revolves around hobbies and sports. It's great to discuss the details of past times, but it doesn't foster the vital connections between people who depend on one another. Generally, we live our lives untethered from others, except for very specific circumstances. This then contributes to the feeling of isolation and loneliness. Despite the fact that our social support networks are exploding online, we don't have substantial support from them.
Reason number five: You don't know what's wrong with you. Because you don't know who you are, you don't know what's wrong with you. In life, the most important yet most difficult conversation we can have is with ourselves, being honest with ourselves, being true to ourselves.
There are many people who prefer to create an illusion rather than face reality, hiding behind a sandbag. They run away from life's problems and issues because they want to live in a self-pretended world. All they want to do is ignore it and be oblivious to it.
What do you want in life? I often ask people this question. Can you tell me what you want? This is just a simple question.

They've been battling, they've been fighting, they've been surviving, they've been living other people's values and lives of what they should be doing. There's a pause. They actually think, Hey, what do I want? What kind of person do I want to be? It's said that if you're worried, you're living in the future, and if you're angry, you're living in the past. One of the most powerful mindsets to develop is living in the present and being in the present.
It takes time to discover and understand who you are and what you are about.?As we are running at a million miles per hour, we don't spend enough time on that.
Reason number six: You don't have a routine. Most of the greatest people who have ever lived followed a schedule, which is really a daily plan of attack. To be a great person, you need a clear, fundamental strategy. Learn how to have a routine in your life by finding a mentor or role model. In the absence of a routine, chaos will ensue. Routine gives you structure and discipline.
Discipline is essential. Those who achieved significant things and fulfilled their potential had structure, discipline, and routine. Once you remove the routine, then you remove the structure, and then you remove the discipline.
Reason number seven: Your relationships are toxic. Relationships are the currency of life. Toxic relationships bombard your mind and your life with radiation. The key to happiness and fulfilment in life is changing your environment. Firing people who bring you down and are toxic in your life is the first step to improving yourself. Be aware of how much of your life you're spilling onto others, expecting them to be different in life, and why your search has taken so long. You either get busy living, or get busy dying.
Reason number eight: Living in the shadows of fear. Fear dominates people's lives and they live in the shadows of fear. The fear of risk vs their desire to achieve. I cannot possibly move and take that new job since this might happen and that might happen. Whether I start my own business, leave that relationship, or start a new one. As a result, they accept their fate and live out that life, that vicious cycle, and the same pattern of habits they have always followed.
In the end, they feel miserable and messed up because fear is one of the most horrible things you can have. When you become a shadow of yourself, it can ruin your life. There's a famous saying, "fear kills more dreams than failure ever could".
Don't ever give up on yourself. Don't give up on your dreams. Don't let other people's limitations limit you, just because they don't have the right mindset for it. Live a life that speaks to your true self and what you really want. One life, live it well.
