8 Main Takeaways from THU by Sara Batista and Nastassia Tolstsik

Taking a little breather after a busy week at THU, the Platige team decided to share their impressions. This year's event won't be remembered only for the talks, workshops, or demos but also for the long eye-opening conversations at the end of each day, pleasant new acquaintances, and unexpected revelations.

So here are our main takeaways from the event.

1. The power of collaboration.

Together we can reach the unimaginable. Whether in business, art, science, or personal passion projects, working together boosts creativity, increases efficiency, and drives outcomes that individual effort alone might not reach.

2. If you had the genie’s magic lamp, what would you wish for? — by Iain Mccaig

The more specific you are with your wish, focusing on clear goals or experiences rather than broad desires, the easier it is to visualize the path toward it.?

3. Just do it, don't wait to have the perfect team or skills.

Waiting for the perfect conditions can hold you back. Success often comes from starting before you're fully ready and learning along the way. Don't let perfectionism stop you from creating your passion projects.

4. Do todo para las partes (From the whole to the parts). — by Karla Ortiz

Start with a clear vision of the whole project, then break it into smaller, manageable parts. This ensures that every step aligns with the bigger picture, and tackling parts individually makes the overall goal less overwhelming.

5. Do the hard thing first

Tackling the most challenging task at the start can build momentum and set a productive tone for the rest of the project. Once the hard task is out of the way, the remaining work feels more manageable, leading to increased motivation and a sense of accomplishment

6. It's important and helpful for the community when artists share their struggles.

When artists share their challenges, they foster empathy and support within the community. Openly discussing struggles can inspire others and build a stronger, more connected creative environment.

7. Breakfast can last more than 3 hours with the right people — we know it!

With great company, even a simple breakfast can turn into hours of deep conversation and connection. One of the best moments of THU was a beautiful, long breakfast with warriors and knights, during which incredible stories and advice were shared.

8. Platugas VS Oasis

In conclusion, the THU Main Event was not only a celebration of talent and innovation but also a powerful reminder of the strength of community connections. The gathering provided a platform for artists, creators, and enthusiasts to share their passion, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. To summarize, we want to say that events like these are incredibly supportive of our community, fostering collaboration, creativity, and a sense of belonging. As we look forward to future events, it's clear that the impact of such initiatives goes far beyond entertainment, leaving lasting benefits for all involved.
