We at Team Pumpkin are constantly striving to have better design sensibilities all around us - Digital or Non Digital.
Interestingly, we thought about 8 daily things that We'd have loved to be more design friendly. Listing them here:
8. Keys: I know they solve a purpose, but they are so easy to get misplaced. Different sizes and abstract designs only add to the discomfiture of carrying them. Can no one think of simple looking, better fitting keys that come in florescent colours to easily spot them?
7. USB Ports: It always takes me 3 tries to plug in a USB cable to a USB port right. Why can we not have simple plugs that take just one attempt?
6. Snacks Packets : There are very few people in the world who can fill snacks from a packet into a jar without spilling it over. A funnel as a part of the packet can help may be?
5. Lipsticks: Why do we need to open 5 shades and see which color is inside to choose the one for the day? Transparent cases will solve so much of the problem!
4. Knives: Always so dangerous. A little carelessness and anyone can get hurt! Can we not have a design where knife in idle state is not harmful?
3. Switches with Child Safety Protector: I think these are way more dangerous when you pick up a random object around you and try to plug in! Easier way to plug in needed please!
2.Newspapers: Don't fit in anyone's hands. Can't read properly when you place them on tables. Can we not make reading news a little easier?
1. Boarding Passes: Who needs those rectangle cards that don't fit anywhere? To Top it up, there is stamp ink that spills all over your hands and luggage.
Do you think more objects can be added to the list? Do you find anything in the above list, a misfit?

7 年I have always wondered why books are printed in 'Hardcover'. Why can't books just be printed in 'Paperback'. So much more convenient to carry and read.
