8 Crucial things to Consider in a New Sales Director/Manager Candidate

1) Will they foster a fun and energetic environment with a culture of possibility?

2) Will they place a lot of importance on feedback from their sales representatives, in order to value and engage them, learn about their clients from the front lines and improve their company and it's products and services as well as identify any business development opportunities?

3) Will they provide all the crucial resources their team needs in order to complete sales and bridge the gap between sales and production?

4) Will they make it a priority to develop the careers of their team members in order to bring value to them and your company? Will they keep their team members on point, organized, encouraged, and fulfilled in their careers?

5) Will they provide very clear goals to their team and the reasoning behind them? Share the big picture with their team and be a strategic and analytical decision maker?

6) In team meetings will they encourage everyone to share their findings? To share why they are losing or winning clients?

7) Will they place importance on, and make the time and effort, to celebrate team and individual successes?

8) Will they jump in and help whenever they can and lead by example?
