7th September Trends of The Week

As we enter the first full week of September, TikTok is buzzing with Halloween - which we have LOVED creating for!), Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, and Autumn-inspired OOTD.

And as usual, there are a bunch of new trends which we’ve rounded up for you…

  1. ‘That’s actually hilarious’

Did you know that this audio is a pre-Captain America Chris Evans from when he starred in Scott Pilgrim vs The World???

Simply lip sync the words ‘that’s actually hilarious’ in response to anything you find mildly funny or amusing - it could be a meme, a joke someone in the office told, or even a moment in a film or TV show. Bonus points for looking at your phone, TV or computer screen before lip-syncing the words!

2. ‘Another glorious morning…’

Spooky season approaching means Hocus Pocus, and this audio from the film is doing the rounds once again.

Look into the distance and lip sync, using onscreen text to describe what prompts this response from you. One popular example at the moment is ‘when you want to start wearing cute autumn outfits but it’s still warm and sunny’!

Business-wise, you could do scenarios such as ‘when everyone in the office is happy but you’ve not had your morning coffee’. You get the gist!?

3. Original sound - daxtyn_lbz

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMNwWyppF/?

This original sound is a remix of Armani White’s song Billie Eilish which trended last week. There is a trend attached to this sound (‘humble enough to know I’m replaceable, cocky enough to…’) however creators are using it for a variety of purposes. If ideas are escaping you, it can be used to share product photos!

4. Snoop Dogg - Sensual Seduction

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMNwW2buG/?

This is one of those trends which catches on quickly because of how simple it is.

Get two people and take it in turns to film each other with a straight face in time to the music. When the beat kicks in, however, both people taking part should be smiling and bobbing their heads lightly. I’ve even seen a few variations where hats and sunglasses have been added at this point!

Although this trend doesn’t involve any text, there’s definitely potential for it to be added and turned into a POV video.

5.‘Help me’

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMNwW2dks/?

Use this sound to depict a scenario where you’re unable to help someone (or simply don’t want to!). For example: when a client says they want social media help, but don’t want to be on TikTok ???? ♀?

6. ‘We’re good… you’re safe’

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMNwW59GY/?

Use this as your response when someone tells you not to do something, but you had no intention of doing whatever it is they’re telling you not to do!

7. ‘Hi everyone… well here we are again’

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMNwWUKYK/?

This lip sync works with almost anything. For example: me walking into Starbucks for my pumpkin spice latte every morning ??
