7Ps -- The business accelerators!

7Ps -- The business accelerators!

The business landscape has substantially changed and will further evolve with technological advancements. Just having best of the talents working for organizations would not be sufficient, I feel the following 7Ps are pivotal for engaging the talent appropriately for bigger and sustainable business results!

1. Purpose - A clear articulation of the purpose puts the right perspective in the center of the workspace. This builds both clarity and focus for the team on; "what to do" and most importantly "what not to do"! Talent which is constantly engaged on short term goals / here and now deliverable, will over time have limited capability to think, build and deliver long-term sustainable business solutions.

2. Passion - It is imperative to channelize energies of each team member by leveraging the strengths and capabilities they bring. Aligning each members personal drive to the function and organization purpose is key to see some phenomenal and innovative work going. Passion blossoms and gives extraordinary results when energies are well spent around what one loves doing!... any workspace can be provisioned & engineered on this dimension.

3. Premeditation - It is about building practices around introspection & reflection on what is working and what needs a different approach, hence creating space for each team member to bring the insights for further improving on ways of working for the right results. Just being in the rush to create or deliver any action without giving all the thought it deserves only gives a suboptimal output. 

4. Patience - In today's context i would define it as --- "The appetite for failures". It is important to do everything possible to achieve success, but equally important to have the patience and the mindset to learn from failures so that the team is up for experimentations.

5. Perseverance - We know that organisations that have been "At It" despite failures have given us some of the best products! Perseverance in the context of continuing to do experimentations, innovations and creation of self-organising mechanisms is important. Premeditative execution approach ensures perseverance in the right direction!

6. People - Creating an inclusive people practice not only within the organization but also with the larger ecosystem including subsidiaries, clients, partners etc is important in this new digital business world. It is much easier today to connect and leverage on thoughts, practices, products and all possible integrations for bigger and better customer benefits at a competitive price. The way working landscape is evolving, it would be worthwhile for talent to collaborate through various technology platforms/ mediums and build a network of professionals that mutually benefits the organization and helps create well being for the larger community.

7. Pattern - Constantly assessing the changing global business landscape & looking at local customers buying behavior as well as purchase methods & mediums is key to business success. The way customers make choices has changed quite a bit and it would further evolve with technology advancements. Ability to sense it through various viewing points would be imperative to design best of the strategies for better, bigger and long term business results!

The leadership matrix could include performance on these subtle but pivotal 7 building blocks...
