7in7 is around the corner! Here’s what I want to talk about...

In addition to delivering a modern approach for companies, marketers, writers, freelancers, developers, and every other talented soul who works outside of the usual mode, I want 7in7 to be a platform where I start to launch more of myself into the world. That matters to me.
It matters because I know what I’m talking about, and I know it reflects my beliefs, and I know where those beliefs come from. I have a deep and intrinsic understanding of the connection between who we are, and why we are, and what our work does to us. What it does to our health and our personalities, and how it can either support or challenge our growth.
From a productivity standpoint, I want to be talking more about what remote work, deep work and work that reflects your needs and values can do for your ability to Get S**t Done. I want to prove that who you really are, when you’re allowed to be that person and thrive, can unlock so much incredible potential.
My focus for years now has been on bringing remote work, and with it better work, to every single person. My focus has been on using the functions and inner workings of remote teams into formulas and workflows that you can apply in every space to change how people interact together.
My passion for the future of work has been sparked by two forces. First, I have had an awesome and fulfilling career working my way, working on my terms and working on my level. Second, I have had the experience of starting an amazing company where I could personally care for and about my development experience as much as I cared about my skills, and extend that way of thinking to every one of my clients.
And those sparks are commonalities for so many of us. So many of us are smart, hard working Humans. I use the word Human a lot, and I use it purposefully, because I want us to remember who we are talking about, not as numbers or abstract concepts but as living and breathing Human Beings. We are people with an amazing work ethic, and we are passionate about what we’re doing.
As remote workers and as people who believe in remote work as the pathway to the future of our daily lives and careers, I have found that conferences and gathering points like 7in7 can be a great way to put down roots and start a new path. They can be a catalyst for change across functions, across personalities and across backgrounds. If you’re new to this world and trying to open up to something that is paradigm shifting on a huge scale it can only be beneficial to your professional development.
Oh, and if you want to do some homework ahead of time?
