#76 Use the damn MFA!

?? What's on my mind

Some system administrators are getting sloppy. And that's a recipe for disaster.

Despite all the good practices that Microsoft preaches, global admins still turn off multi-factor authentication on their accounts. Why? For me, this is a big mystery.

And what can happen? I have heard of a case where the damage caused by hijacked Azure infrastructure and the resources consumed went into the hundreds of thousands of euros.

MFA prevents 99.9 % of intrusions. Such simple protection, but totally under-appreciated.

What is your take on MFA? Maybe I'm not just missing something and I don't get why someone would turn it off. Do you know any valid reason to do so? Comment below.

Have a really great day. Matic Z.

[FEATURED STORY] Protecting yourself and your data with this simple feature

Multi-factor authentication is a step towards protecting your identity, saving you from virtually 99.9% of identity theft problems.

I know, sometimes it's annoying to type in a one-time password or press the allow notification on your phone. But trust me, if a company has forced two-factor authentication on you, they've done it to protect the company and all its employees. Identity theft can have quite unpredictable consequences - it can bankrupt a company, put employees out of work, etc.

So don't whine. Use that damn MFA.

Breakout Rooms in Teams Meetings. Teams breakout rooms are becoming increasingly useful. Especially in education. You can watch a very good instructional video on this link. Personally, I still miss the possibility for the user to choose which room they want to go to.
