75 Ways to Prepare Your Home for the Market
Lars Hedenborg
Having served 5,000+ families in my real estate sales journey, I now help real estate agents scale their businesses (2,000+ members served) using The Million Dollar Agent Method.
Today I wanted to talk about something that's really important to those who are thinking about putting their home on the market.
With our sellers, we take them through a 75-point process. It sounds overwhelming, but if you're selling your home, you need to be extremely sure that it's ready for the market. First impressions are everything when it comes to getting your home ready for sale.
The first thing you want to think about is what a buyer is going to see as they approach your home. Are there any simple, inexpensive things you can do to the exterior of your property like power washing the driveway or sprucing up the flower beds?
You want to eliminate any reason for a buyer to think your home isn't the best choice for them as they make the walk from the driveway to the front door.
When a buyer opens the front door, what will they see? Studies have shown that buyers will make a decision about your property within just a couple minutes of entering a home.
If you'd like a copy of our 75-Point Checklist, reach out to us and we'd be happy to send you one free of charge. It walks you through everything you need to do to the inside of your home to make that amazing first impression. Studies have shown that there can be up to an 8% swing in price by getting your home ready for the market rather than selling it as-is.
