75 down, 25 to go!
OfExperiences
A pioneering platform that enables organisations to support their women employees through their motherhood journey.
When we started our #100careertransitionstories last January, our goal was to shine a spotlight on the diverse narratives that make up the intricate jumble of career transitions. Today, we are delighted to share a significant milestone with you - the publication of our 75th story. Each story is a journey, and collectively, they paint a vivid picture of diverse experiences, from professionals taking a break due to motherhood to those boldly transitioning from one domain to another, and others choosing to embark on a well-deserved sabbatical.
Through the lens of Sushant Kalra's story, we discovered the immense impact that career transitions can have on one's life:

“The first couple of years in my new venture weren't easy. People assumed I was going through a mid-life crisis and barely anyone gave me their time of day. But I didn’t let that faze me. Today, 15 years later, I’m reaping the fruits of my hard work. The journey was by no means an easy one, but I’d do it a 100 times over.”

Another powerful narrative can be found through?Sashikala Polisetty's story,?where her resilience and determination to return to work post her 50's?serves nothing less than a source of inspiration:

“At 53, I went back to the classroom and worked on assignments. I came across a six-month Google Certification course in project management, which I took up in parallel.?At 54 years I have taken up my first 9-5 job as the General Manager of a construction company.?My days are hectic, but I love every minute of it.”

The beauty of these stories lies not only in their individuality but also in their collective resonance like that of Aashika Bhatia and Alpa Kapadia. In their words:?

“What I wasn’t willing to give up on was the initial years of watching my daughter growing up. I thought I would spend the first few years of my child’s life at home, not missing a single milestone or moment and?I eventually discovered there were just too many daily challenges for moms like me that seemed to have no solution yet. It was my almost obsessive commitment to solving them for myself and moms around me that led me to entrepreneurship.” as Aashika shared.
“The birth of my second child inspired me to ramp up my work. I promised to myself that my daughter wouldn’t repeat the cycles that women have faced for generations, and I became more passionate about women achieving financial independence and autonomy. I started researching, reading, and a coaching certification affirmed my calling. Although recruitment assignments were more accessible, I deliberately chose coaching.” as shared by Alpa.
