70% of UK Job Seekers Prefer Human Interaction over AI
Despite the growing influence of AI within the job market, a recent survey by recruitment firm Robert Half indicates that in the UK, 70% of workers still prefer human interaction over AI when job searching.
The survey highlights that 36% exclusively want to deal with humans and that 34% are open to AI involvement but consider human interaction essential.
As expected, those with greater digital exposure (18-34 year olds) were more open to AI within recruitment. 43% of this age cohort want person-to-person interaction to remain critical in recruitment.
Kris Harris, Regional Director at Robert Half, emphasizes the enduring importance of human connection in the job-seeking experience despite technological advancements.
“Although emerging generations are certainly more adept at utilising technological developments, they still have a desire to connect with – and learn from – people, and that’s unlikely to ever disappear.”
