2011 in Sept. I had an idea for a 360 camera system to wear on my head, people said it couldn't be done. I told them FB would have 360 video as a format in the future, they looked at me in disbelief.
2012 Feb.-Apr. I ran around trying to persuade experts in various industries, they laid the concepts and ideas flat, some even saying I didn't know what I was talking about.
2013 Feb. I presented my designs to the Norwegian military, we had a meeting, then they brushed me off and didn't return my calls.
I told the government that we should set up an international business cluster, but they told me to take it easy and that I was too eager.
Sept. that year I hired a company to shoot a 360 video and gave them an Oculus DK1(first model of their goggles that reignited the VR trend) and explained that they should connect it with their system, making it the first time a 360 video was seen in a VR headset (using the gyro and not cursors to move the scene)!
Nov. that year I made the first three working models of my 360 helmet designs.
2014 Feb. I introduced my designs to the police and national TV stations, no response. Government agencies I applied for funding said they doubted I had the capacity to realize the project.
2015 I designed five 360 camera head-rigs and by then already had the broadest range of 360 camera rigs on the planet. I was the first one to post a 360 video on FB that opened up and was interactive, starting a wave of 360 posts from that point on. Innovation Norway finally gave me a bit of funding. One of the designs for a RedBull skydiver I did was posted on LinkedIn, and an astronaut got in touch with me asking if I could design one for a space suit! I was off on an amazing journey. My FB page was suddenly getting a lot of views. https://www.facebook.com/adapa360/
In May I started setting the stage for VR Oslo International Business Cluster (IBC) by planning a VR Oslo event to gather the international VR elite.
2016 Feb. We had our first event. I presented my camera designs on national TV, and a few days after shot the worlds first ever 360 video of a space simulation project. It was presented to the Norwegian Crown Prince couple at Oslo Innovation Week in Sept. and the VR Astronaut project was born.
We had two successful VR Oslo events, starting a movement of VR events around the country.
2017 May we had the first all-female VR event in the Nordic countries to encourage more women in tech to attend. This was a massive hit.
Aug. VR Oslo IBC was launched including 18 companies. https://www.vroslo.no/
2018 Feb we had 100 companies and organizations from all across the world, making it Norways fastest growing business cluster to date!
April I got in touch with The Mars Society, June I founded The Mars Society Scandinavia. July I gathered an international team of brilliant experts in various fields to create the worlds first ISSS-Interplanetary Smart Space Suit.
Today 1st of August, on the day Mars is closest to Earth we have a deal to make it happen <3

Believe in your vision, believe in your dreams, look past criticism, look towards your goals. Be good to people, be smart-but kind, take care of others and take care of yourself. Believe in who you are and you will find the strength to do it all. With time the impossible is possible. We are all capable of amazing things.
Feel blessed and you will be, I know it's hard, but you will make it through in the end!
Most impressive. Have been there after building 10 companies from scratch over a 30 year span. Now applying all my scars to helping others with their business struggles.? Also have originated and am driving a huge world-class state of the art aquatic project here in Ottawa Canada. Am two years into it. Estimated to be over $120 million!

6 年A great idea came through with stubbornness, self-confidence, faith and some luck. This is an other example how important it is to never give up. Well done:-)
