#7 - What Does the E-Wealth Client Experience Look Like?

At E-Wealth Partners , we do more than investment management. We serve as a trusted partner in helping you navigate the unique challenges you face. We take a holistic approach to your financial picture helping you optimize your wealth and live life on your terms.

This piece provides a clear overview of what to expect when working with us, from the initial discovery call to becoming a client. By understanding our carefully crafted planning process, you’ll gain more confidence in your client experience and our partnership together.

Getting to Know Each Other

Discovery Call: The first step in our process is the discovery call. This is an opportunity for us to listen and understand why you reached out. You may have top-of-mind topics or questions that prompted you to connect. Our goal is simply to better understand your current situation and get an idea of the guidance you are seeking. By the end of the call, we will have a better idea of your situation and if we can help. We will also provide you with an idea of how we work together, our pricing, and your next steps.

Initial Consultation: The next step is the complimentary, no-obligation consultation. This is where we dive deeper into your financial goals and vision for the future. We ask you to bring relevant financial documents such as investment and debt statements, tax returns, and pay stubs. The more information you provide, the more productive the session will be. We spend the first half of the meeting understanding your vision for the future. What does that compelling vision for yourself look like 10 years out, 3 years out, and 12 months out? This exercise really helps us understand what wealth management pillars we should focus on. We then review your financial documents with this vision in mind, identifying areas that may need attention.

Plan Assessment Review and Proposal: Once we have a clear understanding of your vision and goals, we put together an assessment and proposal. We review findings and make recommendations on what areas we need to address. We explain what can be implemented to improve your financial health, lower taxes, and optimize your personal and business financials. We provide a clear picture of how we’ll work together, our pricing, and mapping of current investment accounts so it’s clear what it would look like under our management. This will serve as the action plan for our first-year priorities ensuring we are in alignment.

Outcome and Guarantee: When the decision is made to partner together, we offer our guarantee: If a new financial planning client does not find value within the first 12 months of the original engagement, all advisory fees will be refunded. This may seem bold, but this guarantee reflects our confidence in the value we provide our clients. (For more information, see our Firm ADV.)

Moving Forward: The First 90 Days

Getting Started: The first 90 days are crucial. After the engagement has been signed, we aim to have at least three 90-minute planning meetings to build momentum in developing your financial plan. We will also start the account opening process.

In the first planning meeting, we revisit the visioning exercise, allowing you to refine your vision and goals. Then we will review the first draft of your financial plan.

E-Wealth Portal: We consolidate all your financial information into our planning software, creating a comprehensive view of your net worth. By connecting your financial accounts, we access real-time values, allowing us to collaboratively plan through your personalized dashboard.

Next, we build out your goals and assess your current actions to see if you’re on track. This interactive plan includes scenario planning, providing an efficient way to visualize how your decisions impact your financial outcomes and enabling us to offer guidance to course correct if needed.

Execution: During our initial planning meetings, we educate you on relevant wealth management pillars, provide recommendations, and outline clear action items. By the end of the first 90 days, you have a roadmap that clearly outlines steps towards your goals.

We prioritize the topics based on urgency and relevance, such as tax planning, investment allocation, estate planning, or business succession. We don’t cap the number of meetings in the first year (or ongoing years), and we remain flexible to address any high-priority topics as they arise.

The First Year Looking Back

Review Accomplishments: At the end of the first year, we look back at what we have accomplished. We review the progress made toward your goals, assessing the implementation of the strategies recommended.

Ongoing Years

Visioning and Goals Revisited: In the ongoing years, we regularly revisit and adjust your financial goals as your vision and goals evolve. This allows your financial plan to remain relevant as life changes.

Adjusting as Life Comes: Life is unpredictable, and your financial plan needs to be flexible. We adapt the plan as life events occur, such as changes to your business, career changes, home improvements, family growth, or unexpected financial needs. This ongoing adjustment means your plan remains aligned with your goals.

Staying in Sync with Scheduled Planning Meetings: We schedule planned meetings in the spring and fall each year to ensure we are up-to-date with your current situation. While these meetings follow a set agenda focused on reviewing progress towards your plan, we also leave room for any additional topics that arise during our discussions. During these meetings, we review your investment portfolio allocation, discuss tax planning recommendations before year-end, and make necessary planning adjustments.

We Are Here When You Need Us: When something comes up between meetings, we are here for you. Some years, we may need to meet multiple times to work through the complexities and determine a suitable recommendation aligned with your plan.

The goal is to maintain confidence in your financial plan as life evolves. Our structured process and regular check-ins provide you with clarity today, so you can conquer tomorrow.

If you are considering working with a financial planner, we encourage you to schedule a discovery call with us here at E-Wealth Partners.
