7 of this weeks trends to blow up your Tiktok ??
Can you believe it - there’s yet another heatwave on the horizon! Rumour has it Scotland will reach double figures later in the week ??
We know with all this sunshine looming, you probably much rather be getting your hot girl summer on, than scrolling through Tiktok looking for what's trending - amirite? Well, before things really start to heat up, we’ve rounded up this week’s HOTTEST trends for you.
Batch record them now and your future-self will thank you from a beer garden later??
This catchy tune from none other than Calvin Harris, Justin Timberlake, Halsey and Pharrell has endless potential for you and your business! The basis of the trend is to march on the spot in front of the camera before turning to the side. The next clip begins with you (or someone else!) turning to face the camera before turning round and repeating once again.?
You can do this trend alone or with others, and it’s not limited to any type of content or niche. So far, people have used it to share things such as daily vlogs or outfit changes, but it can be used to share any sort of ongoing process. And it definitely has ‘meet the team’ potential!
2. Carrying Your Love
This trend initially began amongst pet owners before expanding into mainstream TikTok. Users show a picture of pet hair with text such as ‘when I’m out and keep finding white hairs all over my clothes’. When the music changes, they share a picture of their pet along with the text ‘I’m carrying your love with me’.?
Now, however this trend has evolved beyond pet TikTok and is being used to share images of products, romantic partners and even favourite books/films/TV shows.
3. Freaky Girl - Nicki Minaj
It’s now August, which means we’re allowed to start getting a little excited for Halloween… right??? People are using this sound to share Halloween costumes from years gone by.?
This sound doesn’t have to be limited to Halloween, however. It’s a great song with plenty of transition potential for showcasing your products or sharing facts!?

4. Emma uncomfortable laugh
People are using this Emma Chamberlain audio to share those uncomfortable moments via onscreen text. Many users are also opting for the time delay effect, creating a blur which goes perfectly with the laugh. Apply this trend to scenarios such as backhanded compliments, awkward customer interactions - or maybe when the TikTok you spent hours on only gets 200 views! ??
5. Pledge allegiance
Use the green screen effect to display a photo of someone or something behind your head. Place your hand over your heart and lip sync to the audio as you ‘pledge allegiance’ to the person or thing in the photo. Business owners - this is a good one for showing off your products ??
6. Ha ha ha
Begin by sharing a POV or something someone said with the intent of annoying you. When the laugh sounds, show how unphased you are by it!?
7. Gospel storytime
TikTokers have been using this gospel choir audio to tell stories, whether it’s the struggles of dating or something a little darker (seriously, some of these take twists you weren’t expecting??). For each segment of singing, share part of the story you want to tell onscreen. Every time the viewer thinks the story is finished, another part begins.?
This is quite a lengthy audio by TikTok’s standards, so the challenge here is to effectively use the text to tell your story and keep your audience eagerly awaiting the conclusion.?
If this has been helpful - we'd love if you liked, shared or commented! It would give me the endorphin hit needed to motivate another one next week.
Ready to go viral? Lesssgooo??
