I’ve noticed that many of the job seekers I talk to don’t utilize #LinkedIn for reasons other than job search. They’ll use it while they are searching, but only use it sporadically. If they happen to get a job fairly quickly, they ditch it altogether.
I get that. You got your job and you’re moving onward.
However, there are so many other ways staying on LinkedIn and continuing to use it will help propel your career even after you are in a new role.

3 年*chuckling to myself* I was just mentioning how I regret not using LinkedIn in earlier. I'm realizing what a useful tool it really is. Not just a SM platform, but a terrific tool for networking. Hindsight as they say is 20/20. Hopefully I can make the most of it now.

3 年Love your article Erin! It's very enlightening to those who haven't fully maximized the benefits of using LinkedIn even after you have secured the job or still happy with your job. It's a great platform for establishing personal branding that will catapult you into something greater someday. Nothing is certain and that includes the job that you're happy with. It can also be a great tool for you to easily land the next job in the event that you need to leave your current company or you have finally changed your mind. Kudos to your great article, Erin! Hands down!
