Mental health problems can happen in so many ways; divorce, relationship breakups, redundancy, addiction, debt, losing a loved one and sometimes, just life.
?
These simple actionable tips will help those who are struggling. If you know someone like that, don’t tag them in, please share this with them privately.
?
The 7 things below are what I did to get my life back on track - and what I use to help others make steps in the right direction and improve their lives they're when struggling.
?
1.Create a vision board
?
It helps you focus, reduces distraction and gives you a bigger sense of purpose.
?
Men and women often have different vision boards.
?
Women talk about family, loved ones, dream holidays, things that deeply matter. Men often have pictures of Aston Martins, £50m yachts and at least 1 Kardashian
?
I’m not saying you shouldn’t dream big. By all means, be ambitious but make it achievable. When you have a great purpose, life is better, and you can achieve more. You can learn more about vision boards here https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/update/urn:li:ugcPost:7016752565941850112/

2. Ask For Help
?
It’s okay to feel lonely. It’s okay to be scared. There’s never any shame in asking for help. Getting a new perspective, often a new idea, is never a sign of weakness. You'll be surprised how many people have been through similar experiences to you and are willing to help.
?
3. Self-Care?
Having a warm bath with Epsom salts while the phone is turned off and candles are lit is one of life’s great joys. Buy yourself something special every week. I allow £10 / week, no questions asked, and it can’t be for work. Purchases that have cheered me up include a yoga mat, a box of delicious chocolates to ABBA’s greatest hits. It always gives you something to look forward to.

4. Write Down Your Feelings
I've been there. I've fought the battle. I have the scars. You don't believe you will ever get better, but you will. There is hope. Writing about your feelings helps massively. This was the first time I did it deeply and I was moved by how people reacted to it. You never know how many others are struggling and how many you can help along the way by putting your voice out there https://www.uncrushed.org/content/2020/7/7/the-road-to-recovery-is-often-bumpy

5. Give To Charity
It fulfills your soul and is one of the best ways to feel good. Whatever you give to the world, positive or negative, comes back to you. If you can’t give money, give your expertise and time. This is me delivering free LinkedIn training to a charity, Be Free Young Carers

6. Have a Strong Morning Routine
?
Your morning routine matters. You don’t need to wake up at 5am, smash it at the gym and have a kale smoothie. You do have to make an effort. Not checking your phone or email for at least one hour of waking up is a gamechanger. You can learn more in this article here
7. Learn To Forgive
?
This took me the longest to learn. It's not easy forgiving those who have done you wrong. Forgiveness isn’t weakness, it takes courage and strength. It takes a huge burden off your shoulders and sets you free.
