Writing Out A Content Marketing Plan

How is your content marketing performing? Remember, content is NOT the same as social media. I would encourage you to develop a comprehensive content marketing plan that focuses on creating engaging, branded, high-quality, valuable, and relevant content for your target audience. Remember to change up the content format as well!


Boosting Your Social Media Engagement

Are you being social on social media? Do you show up online consistently? If not, we need to change that. If you "never have the time" try refining what you're doing and focus on 1 or 2 platforms maximum. Choose the right social media platforms that align with your target audience. Actively engage with your audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly. Start interesting conversations and build relationships, be genuinely interested in your audience.

Create an Email Marketing Campaign

Do you have an email subscriber list that you don't really communicate with? This needs to change asap. Try and build and segment an email list to send personalised and relevant content to different audience segments. Work on your copy and develop compelling email subject lines and content that encourage recipients to open, read, and take action. Use email automation if you can as it will save you time. Consider an automated email series and freebie for all new sign ups. They'll love to hear about exclusive insider info, product updates, or even abandoned cart reminders!


Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Use key words in your content but also don't forget that, if you have a website, you really should optimise your website for search engines to increase organic visibility. Conduct keyword research and incorporate relevant keywords into your website's content. Create high-quality, shareable content that earns backlinks from reputable sources.Ensure your website is mobile-friendly and loads quickly, as these factors can impact your search rankings. Build and Grow Your Community Online

How in tune with your online community are you? Establish or participate in online communities and forums relevant to your industry or niche. This includes social media groups, LinkedIn groups, Pinterest groups and industry-specific forums. Provide lots of value by answering questions in a Q&A - as an example. Or, share your expertise and contribute to discussions without overtly promoting your brand. Gradually build your reputation as a knowledgeable and helpful member of the community, which can lead to increased brand visibility.


Share Your Brand Story?

How often do you share aspects of your brand story? If you didn't know, your brand story can include the journey of being an entrepreneur, case studies, demo videos, product development updates and so much more. Your brand story isn't just about why and when you started your business!


Bring Offline, Online

How often do you meet people at networking events and functions? Remember to encourage people to connect on your socials or via email newsletter etc.
