7 Ways To Generate More Leads During COVID-19

The question that I’ve gotten the most over the past couple weeks is, “How do I continue to generate leads to keep my business healthy?” With that said, there’s a couple of different things we need to pay attention to right now. One is now is the time to build your audience. Now is the time to build your email list. So if you don’t have an email marketing provider yet, I would highly recommend you grab either ActiveCampaign or Mailchimp. These are two very reputable platforms that I’ve used over the years.
Active Campaign (www.activecampaign.com)
My personal preference right now is Active Campaign. It’s got a great deliverability rate, meaning your emails actually hit people’s Inboxes and not their spam folders. It’s got some really intuitive functions that you could set up like email automation, where you could set it and monitor it as you continue to nurture your audience once they give you an email address.
What does your audience value right now? What could you give them in exchange for their email address?
This is where we need, more than ever, a sales funnel for our business, to help systematically bring in leads off the internet.
Clickfunnels
If you want to grab a 14-day free trial to this platform, head over to www.uniquefunneldesigns.com and grab yours today. This software will help bring in those leads and convert them into paying customers, as they get to know, like, and trust you.
The first thing we need to start to do is to get out there and do your research and homework and figure out what your audience, potential customers along with your current customers are struggling with right now.
Figure out what’s most important to them right now. Figure out their pain points right now. And figure out ways you can help them get through that.
So now let’s get into seven different ways to help you generate leads through a sales funnel to help you push your marketing along during this time.
Ebooks
The first thing is eBooks. Now’s the perfect time to put together a solid eBook that delivers massive value. People don’t want to read an ebook that’s all fluff and pie in the sky stuff. Give them the goods in this eBook, because when they come back around and things start to pick back up, they’re going to go to that eBook as their Holy Grail. And they’re going to say, “This thing was so helpful. What else do they got?” And then they start to explore different deliverables that you offer, eBooks are great.
Webinars
Webinars have been around for years, but now that virtual and online is being emphasized more than ever, webinars are a great way to generate some great leads and turn them into sales.
You don’t need the fancy tech either.
You could use Zoom, you could use Skype, you can use your phone and go live and do these things as easy as that. Using that webinar to teach, to nurture, to help, in exchange for a name and email address is a great way to build relationships online.
It’s that simple.
Guide them through a very specific process based on the challenges and pain points that you discovered in your research.
You could also do a webinar on case studies and showcase how you’ve helped people solve their problems.
That’s how you use webinars to nurture and to teach and to help somebody through a problem.
Cheat-Sheets.
I’ve seen these used in so many different ways. You could do step by step guides. You could do checklists, you could do downloadable templates. These cheat-sheets help your customers optimize, become more efficient, save time, money and aggravation.
For a name and email address, you could deliver, seven ways to get through this COVID-19 crisis.
If you’re a brick and mortar business, if you’re a coffee shop, if you’re a plumber, if you are, just fill in the blank. If you’re a hairdresser or makeup artist.
People are looking for leaders right now, we got to step up and lead, right? So checklists, or cheat sheets, right?
Gated video
I do this a lot, so with a name and an email, you can get access to some videos that you can’t find anywhere else. And if you’ve done your homework correctly, you craft those videos correctly and now you’re delivering value. It’s relevant, it’s helpful. It establishes your credibility and authority. It showcases your expertise.
Discounts
I see a lot of the local brick and mortars doing themed discounts. Each day is a different theme with a different type of discount.
I know people don’t like to discount. I don’t like to discount, but these are unprecedented times. How many times have we heard that? Now’s not the time to be like, “Should I, shouldn’t I?” If it’s going to get them through the door, do the discount. You’ll see. Your customers will thank you for it later. Believe me when I tell you.
Free Trials
If you’re already established online and you have online training, or online courses, perhaps opening up a free trial for a finite number of days to give people a taste.
We opened up the Brand Yourself course a couple of weeks back to my email subscribers for free access.
I just gave it away and I said, “Hey, dig in and get as much value as you can out of it. You need this right now.”
Challenges / Mini-Courses
The other things that I’m seeing are challenges and mini courses. So my buddy Dave Meltzer, he does this really well too. So he put together a mini course, I think it was on the Teachable platform. It was seven or eight videos. It took you through a series of videos that were super insightful and value for entrepreneurs.
He just gave it away, in exchange for a name and email.
So these are seven quick ways that you can continue, or start generating leads during this time. The entrepreneurs and the business owners that make it through this are the ones that are going to take action and take quick action to make it happen.
I highly recommend you get out there and play with these ideas. If you need help, reach out to me. PM me, DM me, email me at [email protected].
I hope this was helpful. I hope this gets your wheels spinning a little bit on what we can be doing during this time, to help keep our marketing healthy while we get through this. So stay healthy, stay safe, and keep moving forward.
