7 Ways for Active Listening
Here are 7 qualities to become the chief listening officer (CLO) in your organization.
1 They think about everything they say, but don’t say everything they think.
2 They know when to stop talking and when it is better to start listening.
3 They spend more time hearing, rather than talking.
4 They make the other person feel “heard”
5 They especially make their time to listen to some during moments of rock bottom and despair
6 They understand the consequences of failing to listen. They understand the rewards of actively listening.
7 They know some things are best left unsaid
8 bonus tip: communication, speaking, listening, is about bonding and connecting; not just dispensing data.
