Today, 26 February 2025, there are 7 typhoons (hurricanes) active simultaneously in the Southern Hemisphere. Four in the Pacific Ocean and 3 in the Indian Ocean.
The cause of this major anomaly is the record-breaking high ocean temperatures. Is this the new normal or is this just the beginning of things to come? Lots of food for thought.
