7 Types Of Spiritual Warfare Today

Spiritual Warfare Today

?

Do you know that Christians face spiritual warfare each day? Many Christians think spiritual warfare ended in bible times, but this is not the case.

?

One of the enemy's best strategies against Christians is leading them to believe he no longer exists. When Christians buy such lies, he makes a mess of their lives and relationship with God while duping them into believing he is not at fault.

?

Every Christian must know spiritual warfare and equip themselves to stand firm when the enemy attacks.

?

What Is Spiritual Warfare?

?

What is Spiritual Warfare?

Spiritual warfare refers to the battle in the spiritual realm between God's kingdom and Satan's kingdom. It refers to the conflict between light and darkness and good and evil.

?

For a Christian, it is the fight against principalities, rulers of darkness, powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

?

It is a fierce battle that the enemy wages for the mind and soul of the individual believer. The enemy knows once he captures the believer in these areas, he has won the battle. He is relentless and ruthless in his struggle against the believer.

?

How Does The Enemy Wage The War?

?

The enemy's strategy is to control people's minds by making them disbelieve the gospels.

?

the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

(2 Corinthians 4:4 )

The Bible refers to Satan as the god of this world.

The prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

(Ephesians 2:2 )

?

When he controls a person's thinking, they become hostile towards God.

?

There is hope, however, for a person whose thoughts are just like everyone else, controlled by the values of the world and the culture around us. If you have society's morals and attitudes and a mind against God, faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ can reconcile you to God.

?

Yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—

(Colossians 1:22 )

?

When you have Christ, you renew your mind in His word. You do not have to live without hope in this world, bogged down by despair. When you believe in Jesus, you become set apart for God, and the Holy Spirit dwells in you and empowers you to change.

?

According to Romans 12:2, you can renew your mind and live to have a deep relationship with God.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

(Romans 12:2 )

After giving your life to Christ, you may find that a battle ensues and continues in your mind. This battle for your mind is referred to as spiritual warfare. It is waged for the control of your mind by the enemy so that he can control your actions.

?

The enemy wants to afflict and distract you so that you get your focus off Christ and His Word. He wants you to focus on things contrary to God's word.

?

Before we look at how to fight the battle and win, here are a few facts you need to know about spiritual warfare.

·???????? Know that the enemy's goal is to keep Christians ineffective and sow doubt regarding all the beliefs of the Christian faith. He endeavors to keep non-Christians from coming to the faith. He does not give up easily and is always on the prowl for whom he may devour

·???????? He attacks us personally by inciting divisions, infighting, and separation so Christians will not be known for their love but look like the rest of the world. When divisions take hold, the enemy quickly accuses the brethren before God.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night."

(Revelation 12:10 )

·???????? You keep your mind protected from the attacks of the evil one by putting on the full armor of God.

?

To live a victorious Christian life, every believer needs to understand what God has equipped us with to win the battle waged against us by the fiend. We must know the things we need to stand firm in this battle.

?

Here, below now, are seven types of spiritual warfare today i.e How we wage the war against the enemy.

?

1.?????? The Power of Praise and Worship

?

Praise and Worship

"He inhabits the praises of His people." (Psalm 22:3 ). Praise invites God's presence into our lives and circumstances. God lives with those who praise Him. Praise and worship are powerful weapons that make the enemy flee. It blocks the lies and attacks of the enemy and dispels darkness.

?

It also advances the kingdom of God. God fights our battles for us when we praise Him. The story of King Jehoshaphat in the Bible illustrates this point.

?

(2 Chronicles 20:22

?

"As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.").

?

We praise God when we sing songs of Praise to our God, go to Him with a spirit of gratitude for His Goodness and faithfulness, and use music and dance to celebrate His victory and power.

?

2.?????? The Word

?

The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit, a powerful weapon to combat the enemy's lies and attacks. Repeating scripture relevant to a particular situation you are facing is a powerful way to counter the attacks of the enemy. Truth devastates the enemy's territory.

?

When we declare God's word over our circumstances and lives, we win the battle against destructive mindsets, false beliefs, and negative thoughts.

?

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness," (2 Timothy 3:16 ).

?

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12 ).

?

God's word tells us that we have a high priest who can sympathize with us. The word builds our faith and reliance on God. It keeps our hearts guarded and our minds on Him.

?

?

3.?????? The Holy Spirit

?

God gives us the Holy Spirit as a gift to strengthen us and give us wisdom and discernment in our war against the evil one. We never fight the battle in our strength, but the Holy Spirit fights the battle for us.

?

He gives us empowerment and fresh filling, which we need every day. The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer. The spirit at work in every believer is the same as the one who raised Jesus from the dead. This power is received when we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

?

"The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words." (Romans 8:26 ).

?"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8 ).

?

4.?????? Obedience To God

?

A Christian must choose to obey the words of God in a world that is constantly telling us to walk by the desires of our hearts. We must be willing to glorify God in our lives and die to our desires to win the spiritual warfare. This does not automatically happen because we have chosen to live for Christ. It is a choice we have to make daily. Our flesh and selfish desires wage a war against us every day. We must be willing to take up our cross and follow Jesus.

?

We must submit to the Almighty and hate sin just as God hates sin. When we resist the evil one, he flees from us.

?

"We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ," (2 Corinthians 10:5 )

?

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7

?

5.?????? The Full Amor Of God

?

?

"Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." (Ephesians 6:11-17 ).

?

It would be best to be prepared and equipped for battle every day you wake up. Only the whole armor of God can help us stand against the enemy's wiles. Each armor part serves a particular purpose and is designed for defense or offense. Putting on the full armor makes us fully ready for any attacks.

?

6.?????? The Blood of Jesus and The Word of our Mouths

?

Christ overcame Satan and the world; therefore, those who are in Him are overcomers. Our lives are hidden with Christ in God, the Bible tells us in Col 3:3 . Where we are hidden, nothing can touch our souls. We have a brand new identity in Christ through His shed blood when He died on the cross. We belong to God, bought with the high price of Christ's suffering and death on the cross. His forgiveness and grace cover us. We are victors. Nothing can separate us from the love of God, as seen in Christ our King.

?

There is power in the blood of Jesus and the words of our mouth.

?

"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18 ).

?

"And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death." (Revelation 12:11 ).

?

?

7.?????? Prayer

?

In prayer, we build our relationship with God by spending time in His presence and getting to know Him more. There is power when you pray. The word tells us to pray without ceasing in 1 Thes 5:16-17 . When we pray in the Spirit, the Spirit intercedes for us. God always protectively cares for us and desires to fellowship with us for our uplifting. He fights for us and protects us even when we are not aware.

?

"…The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much." (James 5:16 ).

?

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep praying for all the saints." (Ephesians 6:18 ).

?

Every believer faces the reality of spiritual warfare. The battle is fierce and ongoing, and our enemy is relentless, ruthless, and cruel. But God has not left us alone to fight our battle. He has equipped us with everything we need for spiritual warfare today.

?

Suit with God's weapons and be ready to win in spiritual warfare today.
