???????? № 7 – Trust
What happens to trust in the age of mass hysteria?
Trust is the most precious commodity in the world, more valuable than gold, crypto or oil.
The government wants its people to ultimately trust it. When trust wanes (for political or socioeconomic reasons), you get revolutions, coups or worse, rigged elections.
Thieves want to trust each other. When that trust is broken it results in capital punishment. Betrayal is thus impossible without trust.
Lovers wish they could trust each other. When respect is trampled on, that trust will eventually turn into treason.
Trust is valuable because it saves you time and heartache.
With everything going on and everyone sperging out, it fells like trust has hit rock bottom. Trust in institutions, media, celebs, strangers, even relatives is at an all-time low.?
There’s no trust anymore in trust institutions, no democracy in democratic systems.
*insert the world is more divided than ever trope here*
Now, I don’t think that this is as apocalyptic as it may seem.?
Sure, financial establishments are basically a giant Ponzi scheme making wealth depreciate as long as govs and banks keep borrowing money from the Fed, inflation will never go down again without a severe economic correction that will far outclass 2008, and most jobs nowadays are essentially filler and not sustainable, eventually making way for AGI and UBI to take over –?I seriously hope this is not news for anyone reading this.?
How to see light in a dark space?
Up until some months ago, I had a theory that endeavors to become self-sufficient in every aspect of one’s life should be the main intent.
It’s a very a-to-b premise, and it serves its purpose to a point, but the idea of self-reliance and independence is very John-Wayne-borderline-lone-wolf.
No empire or company was the sole effort of one individual, no matter how talented or genius a leader might seem. It was always an organized collective effort, with multiple pieces on a chessboard. And that always revolves around trust between those individuals.
Trust in individuals, not in institutions.?
I think this is one reason why trust is such an important topic, more on a micro than a macro scale.

Take for example the idea of saving the trees. Everyone wants to save the trees, and so people will donate money to some eco NGO and go protest deforestation in a public city square. That never works, because there is no roadmap nor focus. Instead, you can gather a couple of friends, buy/forage local seeds, grow them, and then transplant them. Goal accomplished, world improved, and if others join you it becomes a multiplicative effort. This applies to almost everything, from politics to economics – just throwing money at problems won’t magically solve them.
Building and earning trust in an endeavor in itself, but once you expand a real life network built on trust with people you already know, reaching the top becomes exponentially easier, especially when part of a genuine community.
How to build trust?
Start small. There is a reason why you’re on a networking platform, and with so many people people getting burn notices at work or getting scammed by anon internet gamblers, nowadays it’s the perfect time for people to sit down and start putting their trust in each other again. Think of it as a social network, but with likes and hearts in real life. Outstanding, right?
Again.
Start small.
Trust is not something you share with 25 “friends”, that’s fake. Only a small circle of honesty helps you move through the world.
How many times have you heard in social gatherings “we should do something together?” – well, now it’s the perfect time to do that.?
If you gain the trust of a person who’s more valuable to you, put a premium on trust. If you say you’ll do something, make sure you do it. If you say you won’t do something, make sure you mean it.
Trustworthiness is not something you say, but something you show.
There is always a risk of putting your trust in someone, but the biggest risk is not taking any risk at all.

I trust this is as helpful as it is entertaining.?
But while there is a lot of darkness out there, I feel that trust in each other will help elevate people to new realms.
If we don’t do it, then who will?
You are not alone,
