Welcome to?School'OClock?- Your weekly dose of practical strategies and tips for School Marketing & Admission efforts!
Summer camps are great for introducing your school to potential students. But, if you are not proactive in understanding the motivation of the campers, it can be difficult for you to convert them into final enrollments.?
Well with some hard work, creativity, and a few tips you could find success in converting the summer campers into enrolled students.?
1. Build relationships: The key to converting summer campers into enrolled students is to form a strong relationship with them while they are attending the summer camp. Make sure that the campers and their families feel welcomed, valued, and respected while they are on campus. Provide them with plenty of opportunities to get to know your school, faculties, and students, in a fun and engaging way. When campers and their families feel connected to the school, they will be more likely to choose it as their next educational destination.
2. Segment your audience: Segment your audience during registration.?Collect important details about your families and campers, such as their personal interests, grade level, and hobbies. This data?can be used to segment particular audiences and craft personalized communications all year long.
3. Organise Open House: You can create an effective open house by scheduling the event a few weeks before the start of the school year. This will give parents and students enough time to plan for any necessary travel. The open house should take place in a festive, welcoming atmosphere, with food and drinks, interactive activities, and displays of student artwork. Teachers and staff should be present to answer questions about academics, extracurricular opportunities, and any other topics that may come up.?
4. Personalize your communications: When you're communicating with summer camp registrants, make sure to personalize your messages as much as possible. This shows that you're interested in them as individuals and that you value their business.

5. Offer Incentives: Consider offering incentives to families. Offer discounts or special offers to families who sign up for the school year. For example, a family could receive a percentage off their tuition fees if they enroll by a certain date or receive a discount on school supplies. Your school could offer a special “Welcome Back” package with a personalized school t-shirt or a special field trip for enrolled students that attended the summer camp.?
6. Follow-up: Follow up with families by providing them with additional information about your school. Send personalized emails or just pick up a phone to answer any questions they have about your school or simply, just discuss their experience at the school's summer camps. Provide families with additional resources such as school tours, open houses, and alumni stories. By offering families this information, you create a strong connection with them and make it easier for them to make the decision of final enrollment.
7. Social Media: Leveraging the power of social media. Create content that is tailored to your target audience. Include sharing success stories from current students, promotional offers, or engaging visuals. Create campaigns and contests that incentivize summer campers to become enrolled students.?
Take these steps, and maximize your summer camp efforts!
