7 tips to limit your unsold inventory

Before enjoying the holiday season, we wanted to share with you our last tips of the year. When it comes to optimizations, it is essential to look at your main KPIs, especially during this period of economic crisis where advertising budgets are impacted... Let's focus, today, on the fill rate and how to limit your unsold inventory thanks to some best practices.?

??? Tip #1 - Exploit all the formats and media types

For all display placements we recommend using all the sizes, formats (MPU medium rectangle 300×250, larger one 336×280, leaderboard 728×90, half page 300×600...) and media types (display, native and video instream) that are available on your ad server to open your inventory to a larger demand.

?? Tip #2 - Improve your ad viewability rate

Improving your viewability rate and displaying it on your media kit and on your DV360 profile will allow you to attract more advertisers willing to pay more for the most viewed ad spaces.?Among the technologies that can be used to reach an average of 70% viewability rate on desktop, we recommend lazy loading or in-view ad refresh.

?? Tip #3 - Reduce your price floor value

Do not set a floor price above the market value. Using a floor price solution that can dynamically calculate the real value of your inventory (based on multiple inputs) is the best solution, such as the one?Opti Yield?provides.?

?? Tip #4 - Increase your floor and run a second ad call

Didn't manage to sell all your inventory the first time? Put your unsold inventory back on sale automatically. At Opti Digital our second call feature allows publishers to convert 50% to 70% of their remnant inventory into filled one.
