7 Tips That Will Inspire You To Live A Holistic Lifestyle

Most people with hectic mornings, manage to grab a quick bite (sometimes not so healthy foods) and rush for work. By the end of the day, they’re so exhausted that they have no energy to work out or get their share of “me” time to boost their wellbeing.

Does this sound familiar to you?

But what’s worse than the stress that comes along with this, is that such a lifestyle can often lead to disease and depression. 

  • Do you want to experience more joy, happiness and peace of mind every single day?
  • Do you want to live a life that you truly love, the life you deserve?

If you’d like to transform every aspect of your life and become lean, healthy and happy, why not embrace a new and more holistic lifestyle?

I am going to give you some tips that will inspire you to live a holistic lifestyle every single day. Before that let me share my definition of holistic lifestyle and how it ignites the spark in your entire being.

Holistic is not just about eating organic food and practicing yoga or meditation and healing your body through natural remedies.

Holistic is a life approach that takes into account the “whole” person. It is not just concerned about your physical body, but your mental and spiritual wellness as well.

It’s not just about being mindful of feeding your mind, body and soul but also actively eliminating anything that’s toxic or undesirable from your life. The focus is on maintaining balance and harmony.

Now the key question is - Why bother to adopt a holistic lifestyle?

Let me share with you some of the benefits of adopting a holistic lifestyle!

It offers numerous benefits like better overall health and longevity, more energy and aliveness, more focus and enhanced cognitive abilities and more happiness and peace of mind, and all these dramatically improve the quality of your life.

How to Start Living a Holistic Lifestyle?

Here are some tips that you may want to consider as you start/improve your holistic lifestyle journey:

  1. Starting and ending the day with prayer and meditation: It's important to tune into the Divine consciousness and get strength, wisdom and protection to go through the day. You can also include some breathing exercises that fills you with life-force.
  2. Activate your internal organs and make your system alkaline: You can kickstart your day with drinking warm water with some herbs like cinnamon and turmeric, or simply lemon juice and/or apple cider vinegar with honey.
  3. Break the fast with breakfast: Breakfast sets the tone of the day, and the right breakfast helps you control your cravings and temptations throughout the day. Make sure that you nourish yourself with some super nutritious food that is packed with lean protein, fiber, complex carbohydrates and essential fats. Some of my favourite options are rolled oats with nuts and Chia seeds, protein powder and fruits; two whole eggs (boiled) with one or two multigrain/oatmeal breads and ginger tea.
  4. Incorporate superfoods in every meal: You can have Moringa powder, and Spirulina Powder with coconut water early morning or as a midmeal, have a handful of nuts in the breakfast that have been soaked overnight, and have seeds like flax, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds with lunch or dinner .
  5. Get maximum of your exercise in minimum time: Every time you exercise, you’re not only losing weight or building muscles, but you’re also eliminating toxins and releasing happy hormones. You can combine different forms of exercise like High Intensity Interval Training, Strength Training and Yoga to burn maximum amount of fat in a short period of time.
  6. Connect to like-minded holistic people: You will find such people everywhere! Maybe at your workplace, at your gym or yoga class or at the park near your home or even online or in some WhatsApp groups. Someone can become your buddy or accountability partner and you can motivate each other to make healthy choices.
  7. Rest and rejuvenation rituals: Let your body and mind get the required rest and recovery, minimize stress and improve your sleep quality with some self-care routines. Going for a spa or facial, listening to music, doing pranayaam, meditation, spending time with nature, pursuing your hobbies and passion are some of the things, you can do to get your batteries recharged.

Remember everything you do and every decision that you make has an impact on who you become as a person, and ultimately your happiness and peace of mind.
