7 Things You Can Do so That You Think Outside The Box

We often hear, “think outside the box,” but what does it really mean and how we can think outside of it.
To understand how to think outside the box, we need to address first what the box is.
Think about this metaphorical box as something that prevents us from seeing other possibilities, having a new perspective, doing things differently, or being creative.
All of us have our own box; we have created it over time. And when we are not aware of it, it keeps us constrained to see our full potential and live our best possible life.
This box is made of our programing, those beliefs we have about ourselves and the world. It is made of our past experiences, our habitual thoughts, and habituated actions. It is built on what we believe is possible for us or not. The box is created with fears.
The next step is accepting we are in the box, that we have a limited perspective, and finally, understand that everyone has his/her own box. This new awareness will help us be open-minded to others and have a mind that is willing to learn.
Now, to think outside the box, you can do these seven things:
- Challenge your beliefs.
- Uncover your programming.
- Do the self-work by working on your triggers and fears.
- Become more aware of your ego and how it manifests itself.
- Notice your habitual patterns of thought and behaviours.
- Talk to people that have a different perspective and be open to listening with a curious mind.
- Ask yourself questions that opens possibilities, e.i. what can be other possibilities? What can be other beliefs around this? What is another perspective?
Thinking outside the box is a practice and you open it by doing the self-work.
One more thing, there is a part of us that is already thinking outside the box, which has a greater view of our path and can guide us to our highest potential and best life.
Aligning to this part of us will take us to places we have never thought of or we have never imagined possible. We can call this part of us, our Higher-Self, our Soul, our Source. It matters not the name we give; it is a part of us, and we can align with it if we choose.
I am sharing this with you today because I learned about my own box, and I continue learning, getting out of it. What I teach is based on my own experience, and I do it with love, showing you a path if you wish to take it :)
Grow is in the unknown, outside of our box. It is a journey; our minds are limited to what we know.
