7 TAKEAWAYS FROM 7 YEARS AT THOMSON REUTERS
In February, I made a career change.
After nearly seven years with Thomson Reuters legal marketing, I branched out and founded Bold Digital Ventures – a boutique marketing and branding agency that helps small and medium professional services businesses acquire more clients consistently and cost-effectively.
In those seven years, I had four roles, in various parts of the organization. And now with a bit of time to reflect, I wanted to share some of the lessons I gained over the years at one of the nation’s largest law firm marketing providers.

4 年Josh, You will be sorely missed my friend. Not only are you a forward thinking, rock solid digital strategist...but one of the coolest cats I've ever worked with. I looked forward to the ASM's and other national events so that we could hang out even if only for a day or two. Those random Friday afternoon phone a friend times when we were both traveling or driving from meetings just to catch up or talk shop. Back in 2016 when we decided that voice search was the next big thing and we started working on a strategy to leverage it only to realize we were 2-3 years ahead of ourselves. The good times Josh. I wish you well in this next phase of your life, if anyone can make it happen it is you. Your pal always, Mark

4 年Great post. One of the best things I have taken away from FindLaw has been the friendships I have made. I share your sentiment I also became disappointed in how things changed and the impact that had on the work product. Towards the end of my run at FindLaw I felt very much the same way. I became embarrassed by the work produced and the rationalizations for mediocre work. It was a shame because when I started, there were some very talented people we worked with that were forced out.
Congrats, Josh. Best of luck with your new venture!
