Marketing is the vehicle that will get you to where you want to be but it needs all parts to work in sequence depending on the outcome at each stage. Think of it like a game of chess, there are many different combinations/sequences to win a game of chess but you have to be prepared to evolve your strategy depending on each result presented to you. When marketing fails the strategy is either too one dimensional or the messaging, audience, product isn’t hitting the mark!!
Keep this in mind when you are analysing each stage of your Business Launch Plan.
- High Performers Mindset
Before you embark on a business launch you have to have the right mindset! You may be wondering how this relates to marketing your business, let me expand on this. Entrepreneurs always fail many times before they succeed and this is a natural part of any journey online. If you come into a new launch carrying the past failures your beliefs and your energy that go into your actions will determine the results you get from these actions. If your state of mind isn’t strong it will match the energy you give out to the world and impact the people who you are serving.

2. Get Clear on your Customer Avatar
Answer these questions to get clear about your avatar.
Who are you serving, where do they hang out, what people do they follow, what problems are they trying to solve. Never assume always validate your thoughts by reaching out to the people you will be serving.
It’s SUPER important to be crystal clear about this and get this RIGHT before you move on.
3. What is your Message
Your message needs to connect directly with your avatar so when they see your content they see themselves in you.
- What do you stand for, what are your values, what problems did you have, how did you solve them, how can you help them.
Your STORY, your authentic self, your truth, write it down as it unfolded, leave nothing out, people BUY people.
4. Your Content Aka Lead Magnet
A lead magnet is a great way to build an email list which is key and I will go more into how to do this in another blog post.
A Lead Magnet is the first step to get your perfect client into your content funnel. This is where you are presenting yourself to your audience for the first time so remember, give your best stuff away for free and they will buy everything else. Why, because if the free content is so frigging awesome the paid stuff is a no brainer!!
A lead magnet needs to solve a problem your audience has and can be presented in many forms:
- Ebook, Checklist, Audio File, White Report, Binder Notes, Interview Series, Spreadsheet, Calculator, Mini Course, Workshop, Bootcamp, Coaching, PDF, Certification, Slide Deck, Swipe File, Event, Digital Assets, Templates, Planner, Toolkits,Tutorials, Video Series, Software...
Ensure the lead magnet content is directly related to the core product you are selling as this sets the client up for their first introduction to your main product.
5. Your Core Product
There are many ways to present your core product, for the purpose of this blog we will dive into the webinar strategy. The perfect webinar is a tried and tested methodology that converts an audience at around 20%. Attendance to the webinar aims to fill your programme/course by presenting your story and how you will solve your clients biggest problems with your product or service. Schedule your webinar for 7 days to launch and follow the rest of the steps.
There are other ways to present your product or service for example through a sales funnel (landing pages) that take the customer on a specific journey so when they get to your offer they are ready to buy. The written copy is key at this stage.
6. Optimise your Social Profile
Your Facebook/LinkedIN profile should represent who you are at your best and what you can do for your perfect client.
Your banner image on Facebook should include links to your lead magnets funnel and/or webinar funnel to get people on your list and immersed in your content.
Keep posting everyday content that resonates with your audience, Facebook lives, podcasts, youtube videos, a full blast so you are seen where you want to be found. The aim is to automate organic traffic to your profile and into your funnel, then rinse and repeat!
7. Traffic
Before you jump into paid traffic utilise organic strategies to fill your webinar. Where does your perfect avatar hang out? Look for groups that are specific to the person you want to work with and spend 1 hour a day providing value on every post you see. Your aim is to show authority and expertise in your subject which will attract your client to check out your profile. Your profile will funnel that person through your lead magnet and/or straight to your main product or service.
