7 steps to attract diners to your restaurant from a Birthday Club

Here is an actionable list that will help you attract more diners to your restaurant from your Birthday Club:

1- Open a paid MailChimp account for your restaurant

Visit https://mailchimp.com

Why paid account? Because we need the automation feature that I will explain why in a minute.

2- Once you create your MailChimp account for your restaurant, follow the instructions to fill up your business details, then go to your Lists section and create a list by the title of “Birthday Club”.

Strategy:

3- Create your Birthday Club offer, what do your potential customer get when they join your birthday club?

They could get a $10 gift voucher as soon someone becomes a member, and then a free meal on their birthday as long at least two people will dine in on that night.

Why Birthday Club? The reason behind a birthday club is to bring the birthday party to your venue.

You will also get to grow your database to email them news about your upcoming events, and your latest specials.

4- Create a form inside MailChimp, ask for name, address, birthday, where did they hear about you, and any other important information you need to collect.

5- Put the form on your website, including the birthday club offer you created.

6- Now remember you paid for a MailChimp account to get the automation feature? Ok go to your automation inside MailChimp create three emails, once that get sent immediately with a $10 voucher, and the second email it’s gets triggered on the birthday week of your birthday club member. The third email goes off on the day of the birthday to remind your member that they get a free meal if they come and dine in on that night, or they miss out.

7- Now go ahead and promote your birthday club on Social Media, inside your restaurant, face to face, create local Facebook and Instagram ads pointing to your birthday club.

Then watch your birthday club list growing, delivering more diners and more birthday parties at your restaurant.
