Here are some signs that you're surrounded by a manipulative leader who is trying to influence you to suit his or her purpose.
- Excessive Flattery - Appreciation is the best know method to show genuine care and encouragement for others. You can gain trust and win their heart when done for the right reasons when done with ulterior motives it is used to bring down the defense system. Appreciation makes people grateful which manipulative leaders use to push their agenda to gain control.
- Emotional Hijack - Manipulative leaders exploit the emotions of mentally weak people to trick and make them feel guilty to bring them under control.
- Gaslighting - Leaders with low mindsets play innocent make others feel confused and drain them from making any sensible decisions. They use logic, and intelligence or display behaviors where you slowly lose control over your actions.
- Isolation - They trick people by depriving them of quality connections with friends and well-wishers and bereft them of getting good advice. They increasingly make you dependent on them and break their confidence to independently solve their problems.
- Constant Criticism: It is the best method they employ to damage people's self-image, doubt everything they possess, and always cover them with self-hatred. The idea is to paralyze them and devoid them of any positive inputs.
- Controlling Behaviour - These leaders use their age, position, experience, and even relationship to dominate and dictate your choices and restrict your decision-making. They are control freaks and love to see others under their dominance.
- Drained & Depleted: These leaders are always busy with cheap tactics to bend the truths, twist the realities, or convey meaningless messages.It makes others drain of their energy to focus on constructive tasks and set & get goals.
