7 Signs It Could Be Time For a New Job
7 signs it’s time to look for a new job
Because our jobs form such a large and integral part of our lives, it stands to reason that if your company isn’t helping you to reach your goals or you’re feeling demotivated, it might be time to commence a search for new opportunities.
Here are some signs it’s probably the right time to see what else is out there:
1.?????Boredom/Stagnation:
Waking up in the morning with very little motivation to log on and commence your day is usually a sign that what you’re doing isn’t inspiring you and helping you to reach your full potential.?
2.?????Lack of recognition:
Have you been passed up on that promotion? Feeling that there are less opportunities for progression internally? These are some signs that maybe you’re not quite as valuable to the company as you should be.
3.?????Imbalance:
Everything in life needs to come with balance. If you’re giving more to your job then you are getting back, or you feel that your personal life/relationships are suffering, then it might be worth reassessing whether the company has your best interests at heart.
4.?????Changes in corporate culture:

Sometimes there are changes within management and/or corporate ownership which can have an effect on the culture that was once present. If your values don’t align with new ones being implemented, then now might be a time to consider a change.
Also, it’s good to remember that not all signs have to be negative or solely come from issues within your current company. You could feel some of the following.
5.?????Have an urge to acquire more knowledge/experience:
For many, it’s good to have experience of different types of organisations so that you have a greater understanding of the market you’re looking to specialise in. For example, moving from a large multinational to a smaller start up in order to gain increased knowledge around the intricate running of a company.
6.?????Desire to change area or industry:
Occasionally you may feel that moving to another industry will better fit your aspirations or interests. Take the opportunity to see what’s out there in a sector that you have a stronger interest in.
7.?????Wanting to strengthen your CV:
Working for a stronger brand name (or alternatively helping to grow a smaller, less well-known brand) can really help to strengthen your CV and provide you with exposure to the pros and cons of different market positions.
There can be a multitude of other reasons why you might fancy a change, but its best to do what feels best for you in your current situation.
