7 Rules for Writing Blogs, Articles

Most writers follow no rules which are mandatory for writing blogs & articles. When I look at some articles written online, I see what they mean, marketers and Buzzfeed writers ruin everything.

But then, a good writer is an honest writer, better we say “creator” (I guess this explains the name of Honest Creativity).

So if you like reading blogs and writing their own, just write them. And to hell with what “most” writers say.

Here I listed some 7 Rules for Writing Blogs or articles.  Hope they help.

1. Write for yourself.

Write only what you think and be honest about things which you consider the most.

Readers need more brave and open writers. They need more honest Creators. Yes, You can take reference form other writers but, don’t just copy – paste things at all.

2. Have good reasons for writing.

The only reason for writing should be that you like to write.

If that’s not the case, you should find something else to do. Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed.

3. Simplify the sentences

The only point of writing is to be understood. Try to get attention of your audience. Have. Short. Sentences.

Add lots of space in between.

Write for yourself, but think of the reader.

4. Think before you write

Most writers say the same thing, “I don’t know what I think until I start writing.”

Think about the topic, take reference, do quality research and then write

5. Love what you write

There is a difference between writing every day and writing when you feel inspired.

The moment creativity works when you start to “FEEL” the work you do, it stops being creative and becomes just work.

But if you wait to get inspired, you might wait a very long time.

Love what you do, love the words, love the people who’ll read you. Connection is everything.

6. Read books.

You are what you consume. And you’ll write better if you read better.

It’s not even just about vocabulary; it’s about the attitude, mind-set, feeling and the approach. Learn from the best by reading between the lines.

Look at what most successful writers did and try to do something like that on your own.

“If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.” ~ Stephen King

7. Listen, but don’t listen

Listen, but then also don’t listen is the Key to success

There is too much content that tells you what to do.

Do what you think is best, even if it goes against the ideas of somebody who has more expertise than you. Nobody has more expertise in you than yourself.

So, in the long run, the person with the best, honest and valuable content wins.

A writer must add value and ensure the readers derive benefit...a nice feeling...is a benefit too ??
