When I graduated from high school, my father and I climbed Mount Hood in Oregon. Mount Hood is Oregon's highest peak and forms a prominent backdrop to the state's largest city, Portland. The summit's height is 11,249 ft. Before we started the day's climb at 4:30 am, my father said: "Steve, everything worthwhile in life is uphill."
When you choose uphill climbing in life and leadership, the following things usually happen:
- You start to recognize it takes time.
- You realize you have to make sacrifices.
- You face more than one potential quitting point.
- It builds self-respect.
- It provides forward momentum.
- Self-improvement increases.
- Purpose and fulfillment expand.
Here are 7 Principles of Highly Productive Leaders, who are on an uphill trajectory.
"Everything worthwhile is uphill."
Let's focus on meaningful and effective productivity habits that help us move forward with our uphill dreams.
Here's to your journey uphill!
