2. Begin with the End in Mind: Clearly define quality goals and standards at the outset of a project. For instance, before starting construction on a building, establish specific quality criteria for structural integrity, finishing standards, and safety measures.
3. Put First Things First: Prioritize quality assurance tasks based on their impact on project success. For example, prioritize structural inspections and safety measures before getting into cosmetic finishes to ensure that critical aspects of quality are addressed first.
4. Think Win-Win: Foster collaborative relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial quality outcomes. For instance, work with suppliers to establish quality standards for materials and incentivize adherence to these standards through long-term partnerships.
