Kenya is endowed with powerful women who have made significant accomplishments in healthcare, finance, and technology et al. I would like to recognize & honor the following women for their transgenerational impact not only in Kenya but across the globe.

Dr. Jacqueline Kitulu, MD, MBA, OGW, FCMA, the current president of the World Medical Association (WMA) for the 2025/2026 term, is the first Kenyan and second African woman to hold this position. This role allows her to influence healthcare policies and practices on a global scale. She has held prominent roles in various healthcare organizations, including the Kenya Medical Association (KMA), where she served as President from 2016 to 2020. She has also been involved with the Kenya Red Cross and the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF). She has promoted the use of telemedicine to improve healthcare delivery, especially in remote areas ensuring that more people have access to medical care. Gheida Abdala Omar has been honored as a Global Scholar 2024 by the Ban Ki-moon Foundation and serves as a Generation Connect Youth Envoy with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Through Girls I Save , Gheida Abdala Omar has empowered many young girls and women by providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue careers in STEM.
